Bleeding at 23 weeks

Went to the loo this morning and I'm bleeding. I'm 23 weeks and have never bled at all my entire pregnancy.

I've tried phoning maternity they don't answer just to say to ring this emergency number but that number is switched off so I literally can't contact anyone. Any advice?

You stay positive and take yourself to A&E and explain that you couldn't get through and need urgent help. 🫶🏻

Agree with the above. Good luck x

Please go to A&E, they can get you into the maternity ward.

I'm going to go to the hospital now .
I had collapsed last weekend and although baby appeared fine I've since noticed reduced movements past week and now I'm bleeding so I think they should take it serious and see me and not fob me off.
I did feel baby kicking last night

You should always go in straight away for reduced movement or collapsing too.

Thinking of you and echo what everyone has said. Big hugs sweetheart xxxx

@TeaKitten I had been admitted after collapsing over a week ago and they gave me a scan and said baby was moving away and fluid around baby appeared normal.
they swabbed me but didn't check cervix . I was told before by midwifes baby has plenty of room so don't worry if I don't feel baby all the time this early which is why I never went back but all of a sudden I'm now having this bleeding which I'd never had before and just find it concerning after collapsing

I'm on my way to hospital now. I finally got through to mfau in a different hospital and they've told me to come in now. Third hospital i had to ring as nobody answers any numbers which is ridiculous. Bleeding seems to have slowed down but I'm still going to get checked after collapsing incase it's somehow related. Praying it's nothing serious

Did they work out what caused the collapse OP?

Chelseaflag · 21/03/2024 15:04

You’ve done the right thing going in. Hope all is ok x

Grace185 · 21/03/2024 15:07

Hey. Just read your posts. Hope it's going well!

CoconutGirI · 21/03/2024 22:01

Just to update incase anyone else might be in the same situation. They couldn't find a cause for the bleeding. Neck of womb looks fine and I had a scan and baby was also fine , and no concern over fluid around baby or blood flow. They said they don't know what had caused the bleeding but its settled down and by time id got to hospital it was just very faint pink spotting so it's a bit of a mystery
