Anyone else tested super early and due December 2024? This is my 2nd pregnancy after a mmc 2 days after my 12 week scan in December and actual miscarriage in January.

Hoping this will be the 1 that sticks and is healthy. Think my due date is Dec 3rd

@Lunamoon23 I’m opting for an ELCS too so have a consultant appointment to chat it through 😊

Oh that's great. Is this your first?
Just thought it'd be helpful to link with someone having similar to share tips we've gained or knowledge throughout.
Yes I've been told I'll have a meeting with a consultant regarding it at my 20 week scan. I've got my first scan on Friday, will be 12 weeks +6. So excited!

Wise0wl · 10/06/2024 22:07

@Lunamoon23 no, my second! I had my first via EMCS and it was genuinely a really positive experience for me. I’ve been told I can have a VBAC but for various reasons I don’t want to. I’ve been told they’ll book it in for when I’m 39 weeks and having a plan is really reassuring 😊

Lunamoon23 · 10/06/2024 22:15

@Wise0wl oh really, that's great to hear because you often hear the horror stories around emergency c sections but positives about the planned ones!
This will be my first - already a nervous wreck about it and have another 6 months to ride it out yet 😂
But absolutely, that's the exact reason I choose a ELCS was that fact it's planned. Made me feel much less panicky!

Wise0wl · 10/06/2024 22:18

@Lunamoon23 honestly my recovery was better than some of my friends who had vaginal births and I was able to go for a gentle slow walk round the block on day 5. I know I got lucky and it might not be as good this time around but often with any sort of birth you only hear the horror stories!

RedRobyn2021 · 11/06/2024 11:28

@Lunamoon23 yeah, I've already told them I'm having a Homebirth again. My midwife was actually really supportive which I wasn't expecting as my area isn't know for being very supportive of Homebirth, but I am eventually going to go private to facilitate it.

RedRobyn2021 · 11/06/2024 16:00

Maybe a bit random but what is everyone eating for dinner at the moment?

I can't just skip dinner because of DD but I'm finding food difficult. One thing I never mind having though is baked potato

LizzieLJ · 11/06/2024 18:05

@RedRobyn2021, I know what you mean! I just feel like there is nothing I fancy for dinner at the moment. I think if I was in a restaurant I’d be happy to choose from a menu, but just don’t feel like making anything myself! I keep worrying that I’m not getting enough vegetables as I only want things like jacket potatoes, beans on toast & sandwiches

RedRobyn2021 · 11/06/2024 19:06

@LizzieLJ I have the same worry, I'm not eating like I normally would at all. My daughter has always been healthy so I find that reassuring though. Apparently the baby takes whatever they need so we should probably be more worried about ourselves 😂

HopefulElle · 11/06/2024 21:05

Same here, just feel like picking mainly… not much I fancy and finding it hard to eat a full dinner; made fish, rice & veg tonight and felt stuffed halfway through. Gave the rest to the dog and now I’m starving again!

CatCaretaker · 11/06/2024 22:05

Yep, for me the nausea / food aversion is worst in the evenings, and I can't eat a large amount even without them (which is very unusual for me). At the moment I feel like I can only eat something once before I go off it because I inevitably feel nausea afterwards, and it puts me off whatever I ate! I'm running out of things to eat!

Anything and everything! I'm so hungry atm.

Anyone else suffering from daily headaches? They started at exactly 11 weeks 😖

No that sounds horrible. Are you getting enough sleep?

PositiveFoodie · 12/06/2024 18:18

Hello all, I'm 14 weeks now. Is anyone else still feeling mega sick? Struggling!

KaliJones · 14/06/2024 14:08

15+5 today, still get tired quickly and have constipation (lovely) but I am feeling like a human again and I’ve been able to do most stuff as usual. Next midwife appointment is in 2 weeks and anomaly scan is booked for the 15th of July, so just carrying on really 😊 Hope everyone is feeling well x

Lunamoon23 · 14/06/2024 18:49

Had my first scan today! Everything looks perfect thank god! I'm further along than expected at 13 weeks + 4! Was a very active little bean! Thought I'd share my scan photos to see if anyone has any nub theorys??

Boy / Girl?

@Lunamoon23 aww what a lovely scan!! Going by the nub I'd say boy!! :-) during my scan baby was so wriggly, it was hard to get decent shots! :)

Hahaha EVERYONE so far has said boy, I think the same, my husband is one of 4. 3 boys, 1 girl.
And baby was certainly wiggly!! Was going full on spins haha, I even had to go and empty my bladder half way through as she said my bladder was actually too full!

RedRobyn2021 · 15/06/2024 10:56

I was going to say boy too @Lunamoon23

Congratulations! Makes me more excited to see mine on Monday 😍

HopefulElle · 15/06/2024 12:18

Great pics @Lunamoon23! I have no clue on nub theory though! Mine was exactly the same with spinning and having to empty bladder (so hard to just release a bit!), I also had to do starjumps to try and convince baby out of its headstand!
@RedRobyn2021 it’s the absolute best, I wish I could have one every day ❤️

Any guesses from my pic? It’s not the clearest, little wriggler!

Lunamoon23 · 15/06/2024 12:24

@HopefulElle @RedRobyn2021 @littlepanda88 we did a test of the nub theory tech last night, and it came back with 90% probability of boy!! So it looks like everyone may well be correct!!

Haha @HopefulElle I had to lift my bum off the table and wiggle side to side to help get a clear picture! Proper wiggly ones!!
Hard to determine from your pic but I'm guessing girl!!

I've attached my nub theory results for fun!

Hi ladys, hope we all doing well, I'm 16 weeks today and we had our gender scan today, confirming what I saw between the legs at my 12 weeks scan was in fact a penis, baby C is a boy

Congratulations @UnicornPrincessSarah a boy!! Exciting!

I've got a 3yo girl so far myself, cannot wait to find out the sex

I had my dating scan yesterday and baby was doing hand stands at one point, it was quite a long scan. It's amazing how they've changed since my scan at 7 weeks when they looked like a kidney bean. I had an unpleasant blood test as well, now the wait begins for the results.

Yes 8-9 hours. I've read that it's fairly common between 11-13 weeks. Hoping they disappear soon as they are still daily atm! X
