Anyone else tested super early and due December 2024? This is my 2nd pregnancy after a mmc 2 days after my 12 week scan in December and actual miscarriage in January.

Hoping this will be the 1 that sticks and is healthy. Think my due date is Dec 3rd

I’m in the process of moving to a new job too and worried that I’m not going to qualify for the maternity leave pay now!😫 is this the same for you?

I figured I should qualify for MA. I was actually in another job until last week, so I’m very lucky to get one so soon, but angry as I was with that company for two years, so would have originally got a nice pay. Typical isn’t it.

littlepanda88 · 22/04/2024 08:18

@KaliJones hi there!! I'm in a similar situation although I just found out I'm to be made redundant from my job at the end of next month. So panicking a bit searching for jobs! We quality for maternity allowance if we have worked for the past 26 weeks I think, isn't it? Always the way though! Congrats on getting a new job so soon :)

Yeah, MA is what I got last time but I don’t know how I will survive on that this time round!😫 yep, it’s typical, I’ve been at my current job for 2 years too, but it’s fixed term so ends next month and I have another job lined up for June.

@TTTC24 @littlepanda88

oh my gosh we’re an unlucky lot haha. It will all work out, things always do ☺️I used to work in an office but got a job in a cafe (which is what I used to do a few years ago) quite happy about it as it’s far less stressful.

justpeachy1234 · 22/04/2024 10:16

Morning everyone!

Please can I join 😀 after a year and a half of ttc #2 I got a positive today 🥳
I'm really excited but nervous!

How long did people leave it before calling a doctor?

Has anyone self referred for an early scan? Iv previously had a molar miscarriage so I think il be entitled but I wasn't sure if I have to go via my GP?

TamsynR · 22/04/2024 11:00

Congratulations @justpeachy1234 ! I’d get a referral to your maternity unit as soon as you can - I did mine three weeks ago and still waiting to hear back. I phoned up my Early Pregnancy Unit and asked for an early scan (after a miscarriage last October) and they booked me in. I think it just depends on your hospital trust as to whether they do it.

Thanks! Good advice. Iv just called the hospital and I was able to do a self referral for an early scan because Iv previously had a molar miscarriage.
Scan booked for next Friday! I'm soo excited and nervous, I don't know what to do with myself!

Have you continued to take your supplements?

HopefulElle · 22/04/2024 16:02

Had my anxiously awaited 7 week scan today (IVF). We saw and heard heartbeat and everything was measuring perfectly! I’ve been so used to bad news with the fertility issues I’ve been through that I can’t quite believe it, so so happy! xx

Wise0wl · 22/04/2024 16:37

Congratulations @HopefulElle! I hope you can take a pause to celebrate this evening 💕

TTTC24 · 22/04/2024 17:55

Good question @justpeachy1234 - when do we contact the gp? I can’t remember what I did with #1

Also, I am 4 weeks today and have dark brown when wiping…I know this can be implantation bleeding and I had it when I was pregnant with #1 at around the 5&1/2-6week mark, which EPU gave me a scan and blood tests for and all was well so I’m not feeling too worried at the moment 🤞 Has anyone else experienced this?

Mary2024 · 22/04/2024 20:35

Hi everyone! Due date Dec 26th, first baby. Rationally I definitely 100% want this, emotionally I’m all over the place. Feel sad and exhausted and stressed - I run an early stage tech startup and I don’t know how to tell my cofounder. My wonderful husband is over the moon and I want to join in with his happiness but just feel overwhelmed - please tell me it gets easier?

Yes ive got this, actually got scanned yest at epu and baby was fine and healthy. Apparently it's normal to bleed and it means baby just attaching at things lol xx

Wise0wl · 22/04/2024 21:46

Anyone had cramping and pale spotting on wiping 8 weeks? I’m on progesterone so doubly nervous.

@Mary2024 (love your username) I was super anxious about the timing of DC1, though not a tech start up cofounder I was flying at work and running a big high profile project. I had him and delayed having a second because of work and have had two MMCs in the meantime. Change and uncertainty are nerve wracking and especially so if you’re in control at work. But it is a wonderful ride. I’ve learnt is that babies never really have good timing and will disrupt your life but I’d ditch my career ten times over if it meant I hadn’t lost those babies. Some things are bigger than work (and my work used to really define me). Congratulations on your bfp 💕

Gemrar · 22/04/2024 22:01

Hey ladies

I’ve just tested today and got my positive, due 27th December

soo nervous as I’m 41, had 3 miscarriages in my 20’s so this pregnancy is a little miracle

dreammama · 23/04/2024 09:53

@Wise0wl ive got a bit of cramping at the moment and I’m 7+6. Not had any spotting though, but on progesterone too so not sure if that may prevent it if I was? I’m really concerned as I’ve lost all feeling of being pregnant, and my only symptom of sore boobs has vanished. My cramps are mild but I’ve got no other bad signs, just can’t help but feel so worried about lack of symptoms.

FateCommittee · 23/04/2024 11:05

Hey, can I join? Just had a very faint positive this morning. I’ve got two older children, and I’m feeling terrible that my edd 30 dec is just a couple of days after my son’s birthday.

Wise0wl · 23/04/2024 12:04

@dreammama I’ve read that cramping is quite normal with stretching and everything, so hopefully it’s that 🤞 are you having an early scan?

I had this at about 5 weeks, only lasted a couple days and I’m 8 weeks now and everything’s fine. Was scary though, 3rd pregnancy and it’s never happened before! It’s best not to worry too much x

GreenPickle · 23/04/2024 17:53

Hey!!

Got my BFP yesterday! Flo says I am due 26th December but I reckon it's later than that because I ovulate a week later than the norm (CD20).

I think I'm either 4/5 weeks (according to when my last period started). Super worried to take another test in case it says negative.

When is best time to get in contact with docs? Sort of delaying it until I do a CB week indicator test at the weekend.

First baby and feeling overwhelmed with it all 😰

justpeachy1234 · 23/04/2024 20:05

Hi everyone,

Iv just been to the loo and wiped blood 😢 I'm only 5 weeks so I'm guessing this isn't a good sign! My excitement was very short lived 😔

Do I just wait and see if it turns into a full period? Should I test again? Or not bother?

MOGMOGMOG85 · 23/04/2024 20:29

Hi everyone, I'm 7+3 and have suddenly come down with the flu. I had my jab last autumn but you can still get it I guess. Very rapid onset, aches, fever, shivering, diarrhoea. I'm terrified I will lose the baby. I took one paracetamol and will go to the gp first thing tomorrow. Has anyone else experienced this? :(

Wise0wl · 23/04/2024 21:30

@justpeachy1234 i’m so sorry. Bleeding in pregnancy is common. Look up the referral process for your local EPU (early pregnancy unit), in particular if you need to go via your GP or if you can self refer. They may well scan you to check for viability, but most don’t do so until 6 weeks. It’s not fair, I know, but it gives you maybe something to work towards. Sending a hand hold.

@MOGMOGMOG85 sorry to hear you’re not well! My understanding is that the temperature is the most important thing to watch out for, so keep on top of paracetamol and drink lots of water. Wishing you better!

Hey hun, this happened to me this week. And I ended up going to epu and getting scanned and seeing a healthy heart beat. Apparently bleeding is very normal. It's baby attaching properly. Only need be concerned if it's a lot of blood like a period xx

NphysT · 24/04/2024 06:00

Hi all, unfortunately my scan showed no heartbeat and a partial molar pregnancy so was booked for a surgical management for this morning and my hcg levels have to be monitored on a weekly basis till they drop below 5 (currently 160000) as this can turn cancerous.
Good luck with all of your pregnancies
