I'm 10/11 weeks pregnant, already have dd and I know you're meant to feel movement earlier in subsequent pregnancies, but how early? I thought I felt something when I was lying in bed this morning. Have I just got wind and an overactive imagination???

It's my first and I felt movements from 17 weeks

SKYTVADDICT · 27/03/2008 14:21

I am pregnant with number 4 and felt it move at 14 weeks (nearly 21 weeks now). Its the earliest I have ever felt though and even then it took a week to convince me.

Bky · 27/03/2008 14:24

I felt movement about 18 weeks with both pregnancies, never felt anything earlier second time around but I have heard it is likely

caramelbunny · 27/03/2008 14:33

Think I'll put it down to wishful thinking!! Can't remember exactly when I felt it with previous pregnancy, think it was about 16/17 weeks so will just have to be patient.

16 weeks with DS1 and 12 weeks with DS2.

SilverSixpence · 27/03/2008 16:07

around 20 weeks (this is my first)

cheerfulvicky · 27/03/2008 20:09

This is my first and I've been having what I now realize were kicks from about 16-17 weeks. I'm almost 20 weeks now. They're much more frequent and firm now!

AnybodyHomeMcFly · 27/03/2008 20:12

17 weeks I seem to remember. I was lying on my front at the time and felt a flutter.

whomovedmychocolate · 27/03/2008 20:45

9 weeks with this one (first flutters) last pregnancy 12 weeks. I have a naturally very thin waist though so I was showing from about six weeks with both. I think that makes a difference.

biglips · 27/03/2008 20:45

22 weeks with my 1st,,,,now im 16 weeks with my 2nd...not felt anything yet!

Leenie · 28/03/2008 12:25

I beleive that i started feeling gentle flutters from about 11/12 wks with this one,

woose · 29/03/2008 14:43

I am 14 weeks with my second, and I am sure I felt something last week. However, I did not feel anything until 21 weeks with my first.

Heartmum2Jamie · 29/03/2008 20:53

With ds1 I would say I felt movement about 17 weeks, with ds 2 it was almost 13+5!

Orissiah · 29/03/2008 22:41

This is my first and I felt flutterings for the first time ataround 11-12 weeks but that was only briefly and then not again until 17 weeks. Sinc 17 weeks it's been continuous - moving from flutterings at first to strong kicks around 20 weeks onwards. Now at 30 weeks - a lot of rolling around and kicks so strong you can see my stomach moving.

expatinscotland · 29/03/2008 22:43

Same as Bky.

orangehead · 29/03/2008 22:45

I had very definite kick at 14 weeks with ds2. Husband also felt it. I was convinced that maybe I had my dates wrong. But midwife said possible it all depends how baby lying and where the placenta is

disneystar · 30/03/2008 08:48

im on baby 7 and felt him at around 12 wks just gentle flutters so yes i believe you can feel them

popsycal · 30/03/2008 08:54

With ds1 and 2 it was around 18 weeks.

I am 14 weeks now and am fairly sure i can feel flutterings at times

Maria2007 · 30/03/2008 13:13

This is my first pregnancy & I first fell flutters at 15 weeks...and definite kicks around 17/18 weeks (I'm now 22 weeks)

franke · 30/03/2008 13:15

With the first two both around 20 weeks. With this one (due in May) 11 weeks - just the bubbly flutterings, but absolutely unmistakeable. And he hasn't stopped since

Kaz1967 · 30/03/2008 15:42

I was feeling something as early as you caramelbunny I really was not sure for a couple of weeks if it was just wishful thinking at the 12 week scan I asked because I had felt movement exactly where the babies feet were and she said yep it was quite possible. I was just starting to feel Olga at 17 weeks just before I had Miscarriage.

Same feelings now just a lot stronger (plus some definite kicks) and I am 24 weeks

daisy26 · 30/03/2008 19:02

Hi im 20weeks pregnant and not felt anything yet-is it between like 18-23 weeks they may move-this is my first

springerspaniel · 30/03/2008 20:36

20/22 weeks in both

caramelbunny · 31/03/2008 13:56

Baby 7 disneystar!

9 weeks is very early whomovedmychocolate

Well, I've been continuing to feel little flutters over the last few days and after reading these replies I'm starting to think that it's not my imagination. Looks like I'm in for a rough ride with a kicky baby.

amitymama · 31/03/2008 14:58

I'm 15 weeks and felt a couple little flutters last week but nothing like a proper kick. This is my second. With my first, I felt movement at 16 weeks.
