What did early labour feel like for you/ lead up to labour?
With my son I had mild contractions for maybe 30 minutes, then my waters broke. Then I felt nothing, monitors picked up contractions but couldn't feel them until I was induced 24 hours later, all progressed from there. I was 37+5 and he was born at 38 weeks.
I'm currently 37+1 with my daughter. Yesterday I had some mild stomach pain and lower back pain, wasn't sure if I just needed the toilet or it was something else. Using the toilet seemed to ease it but not 100%.
Today I have had some period pain like discomfort in my lower belly, using the toilet doesnt seem to ease it, just kind of does it's own thing. I don't think I have tightenings (baby is so close to the front that sometimes her moving feels like tightening). Doesn't seem to be much pattern or anything to it. Has been happening on and off all day.
Even if this is nothing like the start of labour, it made me wonder what everyone's experience was like? Baby girl is very low down now, my belly has dropped, my pelvis is heavy. She was estimated over 6lb at my scan over a week ago and my son was born at 7lbs at 38 weeks. Something tells me I don't have very long left!
