Reduced movements but have had monitoring and scans which are normal

32 weeks pregnant. First time mam with a lot of anxiety.

My baby hasn’t moved in the same way to which he was previously moving a week ago (clearly defined kicks which I could easily see as well as feel).

I’ve been seen twice for monitoring and have had a scan too within the last few days. All of which is normal and shows healthy development on the centile charts, good heartbeat etc.

But it’s still feeling different to before and much more subtle. I’m not sure how often I should be going in for monitoring if this continues. I can feel him, it just feels different and it’s hard to explain.

Does anyone have any advice or experience with this?

I would say my movements have changed from flutters, ripples to more definite smoother motions. However I'm 36 weeks and baby has been in the same position for a while now, so I know where bottom, head, feet and arms are.
I haven't been in for reduced movement however I have frequent growth scans.
I don't think you can go in too many times though for reduced movement! If you're concerned, phone up and go in!

Just go back as many times as you need to. Only you knows what feels normal/ok/usual for you. No matter how many times you phone/go in , just do it.

Thank you @jenn88 and @Cleaningupthemess

Still the same today with little/subtle movements a handful of times since this morning.

The problem I have is knowing when to call again, considering nothing has changed since they monitored me last time.

Definately keep going back if something doesn’t feel right. You know your body better than anyone.

They would rather you call

All the midwives said to me that they'd rather see me 100 times and know all ok, than me to not go in and for that one time it not being ok. If you're not happy go in and if you keep going in they may arrange for some regular monitoring for a little while, where you go in a few times a week to be monitored

Thank you all x

Id say the time to call is when you feel you need checking over. Good luck OP. Never be scared or worried about calling or going in.
