Sharp low left pain

Hey all,

I'm about 5 weeks pregnant. (I have one 10 year old child and have had two miscarriages since then, the latest being in December 2023).

I'm having sharp stabby pains on and off in the lower left part of my abdomen quite near my groin area but just above. No bleeding or other symptoms. The pain doesn't stop me doing daily activities, and it can last hours and then disappear for a day or two. Today isn't as bad as it has been before.

Any ideas? Or experiences of this? I don't remember this with any of my other pregnancies.

Thank you🙏🏼

I don't have any explanation for you but I've had the same thing. I'm 6+3 now and had a scan today and (touch wood) all is going fine so far so hopefully nothing to worry about!

Oh good to hear that, I'm glad everything is going well!!
Is your pain around your ovary area? I read that there can be ovary pain from the ovary that released the egg?

@moonlightandstars I've had every kind of cramp going. Low down period like, dull pokey pains on the side I ovulated from, sharp stabbing pains when I stand up or turn suddenly, general crampy pains on either side but particularly my ovulation side.
At my scan today they saw the corpus luteum cyst which can cause lots of pain/cramping. It's on my right side and most of my pains do tend to be, but not exclusively on, the right.
