Overheating in first trimester

Hi everyone
I just am feeling a bit worried and wanted anyone who's had similar to share info or reassure.
I am naturally a person who always feels cold and am SO tired this pregnancy and a couple of times I've jumped into bed fully clothed (jumper and leggings) with the covers on reading my book and falling asleep. Ive developed heat lumps all over my stomach and just worried I've harmed my baby as I've read over heating specially in the first 12 weeks can cause tubal defects and all sorts. Anyone done similar and gone on to have healthy baby? Thanks all!! Xxx

I really wouldn't worry - women who carry babies through 40 degree summers are fine. The advice is to avoid saunas/extremely hot baths, not getting too hot in bed.

Aww thank you @HumphreyCobblers xx

Women in the sahara also have healthy pregnancies. I sometimes think that we worry too much about these things. I know that I did. Hirmones don't help. I hope you have a good pregnancy and delivery.

That's very true @Andarna thank you for easing some worry 😊 x

Hey! I’ve just done the exact same thing at 4 weeks pregnant and absolutely cooked myself 😭 now I’m so scared I’m going to miscarry

@RozzieRoo
If it makes you feel any better... I over heated so many times in first trimester - being so tired and jumping under the covers fully clothes then falling asleep and waking up so hot and I just delivered a healthy baby girl 💕 xx

I am one of those women who was carrying a baby in 40+ degrees heat this summer - I was constantly sweating!
18 weeks now and it's a more bearable 26 degrees today!
