Inconclusive scan 7 weeks

Hi, been for a private scan this morning at what I thought was 7+2 weeks and was told it was inconclusive as baby was measuring 6+0 and no heartbeat. Said dates could be wrong but to wait 2 weeks and were very vague. Felt very upset…. Has anyone had positive outcome to a similar story?

Hi and sorry you're in this horrible position of uncertainty. I had a scan at 7+2 due to previous losses. Baby was measuring a week behind at 6+2. There was a heartbeat but of course at that stage it could have started just a day or so before! I've remained on that later trajectory. Currently 18+5 and hopefully all going well. Hopefully you will get reassurance at your next scan, but the waiting is very difficult isn't it. 💕

same thing happened to me today - I went for my 7week scan, only for there to be no heartbeat and a fetal pole measuring 1 week behind. I was told to come back in 1 week
I know my dates aren’t wrong and I tested positive ridiculously early so I’m not holding hope

Hiya…. I’m okay. That sounds pretty much the same then. I spoke to the hospital yesterday and they said they really don’t think it will be a healthy pregnancy but they’re scanning me on Saturday and then will talk me through options. Did yours seem hopeful or not? It’s so hard.

Also tested positive like 8DPO so also know I’m not wrong on dates

I'm in the same boat too. I've got my next scan on Friday. I was scanned at 5w5d due to a bleed. There was only the gestational sac. No yolk sac and no Fetal pole. It's hard just waiting around.

So hard. I know a lot of people who have had bleeds and next scan has all been good so crossing my fingers for you!

@Ttcin2021 the scanner was very diplomatic in that “we just don’t know” but I definitely wasn’t getting positive vibes. The fetal pole measured 6mm which is what they used to say is non viable- although now they say wait until 7. It’s a long week, I’m glad you could move your scan up

@1yearplan this actually happened with my daughter at just under 6 weeks. The sonographer couldn’t see anything, she kept poking at one edge of the wall that she thought may have been thicker or blinking (I couldn’t see it) but couldn’t get anything… she’s now 4. So I wouldn’t lose hope yet. I definitely left that scan with more positive vibes than I left this one. Fingers crossed for you

How's everyone doing? I was given progesterone at the scan last week, so I've been using those, but I've had a bit of brown spotting this morning. I'm hoping everything will be okay on Friday, but in my heart of hearts I know is something doesn't feel right with this pregnancy. I'm okay about it, it's just the waiting around that's rubbish.

@1yearplan how are you going? Are you still bleeding? I know what you mean about it feeling off. Today I feel like all my symptoms are disappearing.

I'm okay, still no symptoms and I still have brown spotting. I'll be looking forward to hopefully some more answers tomorrow. I'll update this thread with the results, just incase someone comes across it in the future.

I’ve got my second scan Saturday. I am feeling so sick still which is annoying. Not feeling good about it but also want to know and try to move on.

Just a little update, to my surprise a heartbeat was found at the scan today! I'm measuring 7 weeks today. There's evidence of a bleed, so I'll be taking everything one day at a time. It's still a threatened miscarriage, but seeing the heartbeat is a positive in my eyes.

Unfortunately it was how I thought….. still no heartbeat and no growth. The staff were amazing and I am booked for surgical removal on Monday.

6 week scan no embryo only yolk sack

i had a scan done today. I thought I was 6 weeks 5 dates but they said I was 6 week 3 days.
They could see the yolk but no embryo and to come back for reassurance in 2 weeks. The gestational sack was 15.29 m which they said was within the permitted.
what are the chances when I return all will be ok. I’m so scared xx

I know this is a couple months ago and hope you had a good outcome..my scan was inconclusive measuring 5w5. I thought I was 8 weeks from last period. Turns out I ovulated later than I should have and today baby's now measuring 8 weeks with a strong heartbeat!
