Third trimester worries &Polyhydramnios

Hi all, I don't know if anyone has had this but I've got to the third trimester and something has come up at every appointment. At 28 weeks my baby was measuring at 34 weeks, the midwife said they don't routinely scan until they do/don't see a pattern so we went for a private scan. At the scan they told me to contact my midwife because the amniotic fluid was too high (9cm). The midwife has booked me for an NHS scan this week but said polyhydramnios can be associated with Cystic fibrosis and I literally cannot get it out of my head. Has anyone had this in pregnancy? Any comfort that it could be nothing?

I had it with my first pregnancy. She's perfectly healthy OP.

I had it with my third, never heard of a link with CF, healthy baby boy. The only caution I was given was an increased link of cord prolapse, I was induced at 38 weeks due to having a previous 10lb 11oz baby, he was delivered by caesarean due to failure to progress.

I’ve not heard of that link before, but it can be associated with a few things. When I had it they checked my immunity for slapped cheek, I think it can also be for no apparent reason really. Try not to panic OP
