Implantation bleeding? 4w 5d

Hi everyone, I’m 4w 5d pregnant and yesterday and today have had a small amount of light pink on the toilet paper when I wipe. Both times it’s happened in the morning (a bit later today than yesterday) and then nothing for the rest of the day (yesterday at least). It seems to be gone pretty quickly. My period was due around Friday last week.

Does this sound like it could be implantation bleeding, or something else? I had a MMC last year so I’m feeling particularly anxious. I have some cramping but nothing big/troubling, and I still have sore boobs and a bit of nausea on and off.

My tests are showing good progression lines and I had a dye-stealer on a Clear Blue this morning.

What do you think? Should I prepare for the worst or might it be ok? I’m going to get booked in with the midwife, if nothing else so that I’m in the system in case something goes wrong again, because I know nobody will help until/unless I have 3 miscarriages…

hi congratulations 🥳 my friend had “late” implantation bleeding. So maybe it could be? I’ve never had IB with any of my pregnancies so I can’t comment on experience but i’m sure you have nothing to worry about especially with that dye stealer 😃 xx

Thank you @laurplus4 🙂 it feels quite late - I had implantation bleeding in my first pregnancy before I got a BFP. But when I’ve googled, the NHS site and others say that women can experience pink implantation bleeding in Week 4-5, which I’m bang in the middle of.

In spite of that, I’m still seeking reassurance from MN 😄🤦🏻‍♀️ I might try to get an early scan at 7-8 weeks if things get that far 🤞🏼 thank you

Yes I read that too, im sure everything will be fine, I found out im pregnant on sunday early on, not quite missed my period but got a BFP on 9dpo! which was shocking to me, but here we are and so far so good lets hope we both go the distance xxx

Here’s my test progression - the cheapies were taken on 10/3 and today, and the ClearBlues on 11/3 and today. Today’s Clear Blue control line looks lighter than the pregnant line - can I call that a dye stealer?

At around 5 weeks I had two instances of light pink when wiping, one at night then one the next afternoon. I was terrified and was googling everything but nothing else ever happened and all has been fine since then, now 12 weeks! Even if it isn’t implantation bleeding random brown/pink spots seems really really common and not cause for concern.

I’ve booked in for my midwife appt at 8 weeks and also a private scan on the same day so fingers crossed we get that far and all looks well 🤞🏼

The pink changed back to normal discharge and has now turned slightly light brown this afternoon and sort of creamy consistency. Is that within the realms of normal?

With my MMC, the only sign something was wrong was bleeding and then dark brown at 11 weeks. I’m only 4+6 this time - could it be leftover bleeding from the little embryo burrowing in?

I’ve also been getting this the last 2 days & I’m just over 5 weeks… my difference is I’m getting absolutely no pregnancy symptoms at all, other than bfps. I have had 3 full term pregnancies & this didn’t happen before so this feels weird for me. I’ve had friends that have had bleeding throughout first few weeks & went on to have healthy babies - so it’s true that everyone is different! Xx

@RubyQueen23 how are you doing today? I’m 5 weeks today. I’ve had very light brown watery discharge today but my cervix feels nice and high and closed, my boobs are sore, and I also actually vomited for the first time after brushing my teeth which is fun 🙃 I’ve no idea what to make of all this but trying to feel cautiously hopeful until/unless proven otherwise x

Hiya, I’m on CD38 (and if preg that makes me 5+2) I say if, because i just have this strong feeling something isn’t right for me. I had similar pinkish this morning but not much more throughout the day.

Your symptoms sound very promising for a healthy pregnancy, with my 3 full term pregnancies I had early on symptoms, with sickness getting worse every week till about wk17 - it’s hard going but also the sign of hcg increasing as it should so that will keep you going if it does get worse! I guess that’s why I feel something isn’t right - I still have no pregnancy related symptoms and I’m almost sure I would have them by now. My test lines were pretty dark this week though so that’s what’s thrown me the most… I’m going to see what happens over the weekend then call dr/midwife on Monday if nothing. Have you make a booking appt yet? Sorry if I sound negative, i know this is a very exciting time for you xx

No don’t worry about sounding negative at all - I’m more anxious than excited for sure. I hope the weekend passes uneventfully for you and you manage to get some answers if you call next week.

I’ve made a booking appt and booked a private scan for 8 weeks (hoping I get that far), both on 5th April (the scan before the booking appt, because last time everything had already stopped developing by the time I went to my booking appt and I had no idea until a few weeks later, so I’d rather know this time).

I’m honestly not bothered about what way it goes because I already have 3 kids so this would be a big surprise - it’s just the unknown part that I’m not enjoying 😂

yes I totally get that, I’ve had early private scans before - they def reassure things & I always like to see if it’s just 1 in there!! lol. I think I’m going to call on Monday if nothings happened & explain what I’m experiencing to see if I can be seen earlier - I just really want to know what’s going on in there!

Thank you @RubyQueen23 I’m not so sure - the discharge is a darker pink now this evening in spite of the symptoms. I feel like I’m waiting to miscarry 😔😢

Oh no really, such a horrible thing esp when you’re ttc but if it does happen, try to trust Mother Nature & the positive that you are fertile & can fall pregnant ❤️
