Baby is due July. Looking for clothes for during the daytime. I'm wondering should I go for the short sleeve and leg like shown in photo one , or can baby still wear full body sleep suits like photo 2 or would they be too hot during day in mid summer day ? I'm assuming sleepsuit is OK for night as nights are cooler?
Nhs advises keeping baby cool and a layer less than what I'm wearing

My son was a July baby and he lived in vests for at least a month. It was a very hot July 1995 . Gave up breastfeeding because it was too hot.

My son was born in June last year and it was very hot. He mostly just wore vests during the day for the first couple of months, and we had to have the fan on a lot.

Two summer babies here. 1st lived in vests, second, had moved to a colder house and cooler summer, so we did use sleepsuits. I'd suggest having a couple of newborn sleepsuits in case. Maybe even just from charity shops etc. Hospitals can be very cold with aircon and on a day ds1 was playing in paddling pool, ds2 was born and later wearing sleepsuit and hat in hospital.

I had a June baby ...

Vests or rompers mainly during the day; sometimes a thin blanket / muslin if indoors when she was asleep

Sleepsuits for nighttime with a vest
