Will a Nuna Mixx fit in a Ford Fiesta?

I’m looking at getting the Nuna Mixx bundle (with the CARI Next Carrycot & TODL i-Size Car Seat) from John Lewis for my first (due in May). While the car seats should fit in our Fiesta (2019) I’m struggling to figure out whether the pram would fit - does anyone have a Nuna Mixx and Fiesta? Many thanks in advance!

Hi there, I just wondered if you went for this bundle and how you got on with it? I’m also thinking of getting it as my husband is from a rural town 3 hours drive from our city home, so we think it could be useful for long haul car travel in the first 6 months. My reservations are that the inserts/padding and harness seem to be in the way of the bassinet when used for walks on the pram frame.

would be great to hear your review/opinion? Thanks 😊

I had the Nuna Mixx in 2020, with the Pipa Lite car seat (so maybe a slightly different bundle). The frame of the pram did fit in my Ford Fiesta boot, but I could not also fit the carry cot in there too. I think one one occasion I mange to fold the carrycot 'flat' and squeeze it into the backseat, but I didn't feel safe driving with an infant in the back and a 'loose' carrycot, and it was also quite a faff! In the end I got a new car ... Absolutely loved my Nuna Mixx pram though and looking forward to using it again with my October baby.

Thanks for the feedback @doodleina :) glad to hear you like the pram I think we are going to get it. It's just the Cari Next car seat we are a bit unsure of because it's not the usual style of car seat and it's a lay flat carry cot. Want to make sure it's good when used on the pram and also in the car. I think we are going to go for it but it's always helpful to hear from someone who has it!

@Clarabell21 have you bought it yet and if you have, would you say it is very similar to the normal nuna carry cot or not as good? It does seem to have featured pockets to hide the seat belt etc. None of the stores by us stock it for us to really check it out so any advice welcomed!

we did get it and it did fit! Once we were four adults + baby in the car so had the baby in the “normal”/TODL car seat and the bassinet + wheels in the boot (it was a tight squeeze but it was manageable).
if you remove the mattress there are little cavities you can hid the harness bits in (if that makes sense? 😂) so it transforms to a normal bassinet. I do like that it’s rated as safe for occasional overnight sleep (I did check with the Nuna customer service team).

The bassinet takes up a fair bit of the back seat but I think overall it’s been great, as it means our baby can lie flat and sleep during the car journeys plus I don’t have to worry about baby’s head dipping forward, while she has poor neck control. If you would be doing long journeys it would probably be a really good car seat for that reason.

Overall, it’s been really good as a pram and car seat. The only thing I don’t like is that you can’t remove the sun cover on the bassinet but it’s really a minor thing. The pram is sturdy and easy to manoeuvre.

Hi r@Reddy01 and @DorisI I have now ordered the Nuna mixx next with the Cari bassinette car seat and TODL bundle. After lots of thinking I decided it sounded like the best option since it has the lie flat car seat and you get the todl car seat included

It’s great to hear that you have good reviews for it @DorisI 😁

So excited for it to arrive! It’s such a huge decision I feel like I’ve deliberated over this more than I would if buying a new car 🤣

What we did was go to a physical store and teied everything in the car they allow that nost places. In our case it was the Joie bundle and wantes to make sure it fit in the boot but also how easy it was to take in and out.
