had dating scan this morning at 11.15. dated me earlier than i thought (was 9+5) now 7+1. could get good enough view with tummy scan so did internal. all ok at time but just been for a wee and have browny blood on the tissue. is this normal? had browny dishcarg at weekend and was told to rest by the docs.

have they given you an appointment for a follow up scan? If there is more then two weeks difference in your dates and you have had some blood loss, then you should have a follow up scan to check that the baby is growing well. Did they see a heartbeat?

Brown blood is old blood, and the scan could have irrated your cervix, but bleeding during pregnancy is not 'normal'.

as siad brown blood is not as concerning as fresh red blood.

Rest - if happens again ring midwife.

have had previous treatment (9years ago) on my cervix. next scan booked for 8th may - 13 week scan. def brown blood. saw baby's heart beat and they measure it.

it could be cervical bleeding then. AS BBBB says, it it continues or if you get any pain, then contact your midwife.
