Hey everyone!
Any recommendations on baby wraps?
Also any recommendations on car seats, preferably one that twists =)

I recommend joining uk car seat safety on facebook

Loved my Boba wrap.
Would recommend joining Babywearing UK on Facebook though.

I used the Freerider baby wrap and loved it. Used it everyday.

I have the Cybex Cloud Z car seat on the spinning base. It’s very sturdy, nicely built….but it’s sooooo heavy! Fine if it’s staying in the car but if you want to used it on the pram it’s a bit of a lump and I think I stopped carrying my LO in and out of the house in it by 12 weeks. The weight limit is 13kg (up to 24 months apparently)….but my 8 months old is already just under 11kg so can’t see it lasting much longer either, wishing I’d gone for a 0-4 years range seat. Limited in choice for the next size up now too unless I swap the base also.

Not a wrap but we loved the Tula baby carrier.

Car seat wise we had the Maxi Cosi Pebble and loved it.

I would recommend a 2 way stretchy wrap like Hana, Boba, or Lifft. I would avoid one way stretchy wraps like Freerider, the Scottish baby box one, and most of the Amazon ones. This is because they require an extra tightening step so are harder to learn.

Your local sling library will probably have one to hire and try out what suits you best.

With car seats you can't go too far wrong as all infant seats have to meet certain safety standards, which are tougher than the standards older stage seats have to meet. The only thing is if you have a small baby they may not get such a great fit in many infant seats. Also, try and avoid multi stage seats. They basically tend to not do any stage that well in terms of fit because they're trying to do too much. It would be a better idea to buy an appropriate infant seat for the first year or so, then look to buy an extended rear facing seat after that.

@Welshcake15 some safety standards are shockingly low though, like the team tex seats.

We're getting the joie i-tilt and the encore base. Base spins, car seat lays flat and lasts till 15 months.

I found wraps a pain to get comfortable with my last, I prefer the ones with actual straps rather than just the big bits of fabric

That's an issue with their non infant seats, though.
