Hi there,

I'm having my first and am totally confused as to where to have it. I'm torn between the Royal Berks in Reading which is the closest large hospital, the JR in Oxford or the midwife-led unit in Wallingford. Has anyone had any experience of any of these?

Thanks!

hi

I live in Reading and am having my first at the JR in Oxford - but mainly due to potential problems which could arise. Both are good (don't know about Wallingford). JR has better neonatal unit and is regarded as the regional centre of excellence. Am recieving very good care from JR but had to go RBH last year for mc and they were excellent too.

there's a website which shows stats between the two but I don't know what it is - someone is sure to know
