Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I got a BFP this morning (yay!) I know I am 13 days past ovulation but my last period started 22nd February. So...how will the midwife calculate how pregnant I am? Will she go from 22nd Feb or from when I ovulated...or is it worth telling her I didn't know when I ovulated and then I get my scan earlier - ha ha!!

from 22nd feb.

She'll go from the first day of your last period and then they'll confirm it or change that at your dating scan. My mw has never been at all bothered about when I've ovulated =)

She'll go from the 22nd Feb date, and then when you have your scan if the dates it gives are more than five days different from the date based on a 22nd Feb LMP they'll change your EDD accordingly. No one will pay any attention to your knowing when you ovulated.

Unless your periods are very close or far apart, then she'll go from the 22nd. I knew the date of ovulation but the midwife didn't care.

Wo-hoo that makes me five weeks on Fri!! That sounds sooo much better than two weeks ha ha!! And means I get my booking-in appointment in just three weeks...I like their way better!

Congratulations on your pregnancy, BrightShinySun.

If you are 13dpo then you'd be 3w6d pregnant, rather than 2w, though -- if you're doing it based on ovulation you add on two weeks so that it equates to doing it based on LMP. So only a difference of a week or so (mind you, as someone 39 weeks pregnant "only a week or so" seems like a long time right now).

Congratulations, by the way!
