Measuring bigger?

Quite confused. I had a scan at 6 weeks but measured 6 weeks 2 days. I went for a dating scan yesterday. I should have been 9wks 4 day ( by LMP) but I was 10wks 1 day.
Has anyone else measured days ahead? The date for my period wasn't wrong, we were trying so I keep track of them. The sonographer thinks I've ovulated earlier then I think. But they work out due date based on your lmp so how can it be 5 days ahead?
So confused. Have children but they all measured spot on by my lmp so this one has stumped me.
My lmp was lighter then usual so not sure if it was a true period. Also got a strong positive 6 days before my period was due so now I'm questioning if it was intact a period.

This can be fairly common so try not worry about it. The 12 week scan will give you a better expected due date.
Babies can grow at different speeds. My first baby measured a week ahead until I hit 12 weeks and my second baby measured 8 days smaller but again once I got to the 12 week scan it all evened out.

As the previous poster said, it's normal for it to move a few days forwards or backwards as it depends on when you ovulated and implanted etc.

If that wasn't a true period you'd be way ahead - I went for an 8 week scan (should have been 8+5 by what I thought was LMP) and I turned out to be 12+1.

Oh lovely thank you! I was starting to doubt my own mind then lol. I've worried about gestational diabetes and all sorts but if it's normal at this stage I can put all that worry down for a minute 😊 thank you for easing my worries and confusion x

Mines an IVF pregnancy so I knew the exact date I was, at my 12 week (which was 13 weeks 2 day) scan I was measuring 3 days ahead.
I think it’s pretty standard to be measuring a few days ahead/behind your due date. Try not to worry and enjoy your pregnancy :)

I was measuring a week ahead at 7 week scan and no-one was worried

IVF pregnancy here aswell and measuring 5 days ahead at every scan can only assume it implanted early and grew quickly! I'm 25 weeks now with a very lively baby so hasn't caused any issues.

Same here- went for 20 week scan and measuring a few days ahead. Think it was pretty much spot on for the 12 week scan. The sonographer would've noted if it was something of concern so they're probably just growing slightly ahead
