When did your symptoms start? 10dpo today, BFP two days ago but no symptoms yet! Normal??

Hello, I’m 10dpo and my tests seem to be getting darker. I got a BFP on the morning of 8dpo.

I have no symptoms yet really. All through the TWW I had cold-type symptoms, blocked up nose and sneezing - that’s still continuing. Heavier (and veiny) boobs, but they aren’t sore. No sickness or food aversions. Seem to have the usual amount of energy. Is it quite normal to not have any symptoms so early??

I am on heightened alert as I had an early miscarriage at the start of the year.

Thank you

Sore boobs 5 days before I tested pos . Was agony going on runs. But didn’t feel pregnant until I was bang on 6 weeks and then Constipation and nausea kicked in

JNGO21 · 08/03/2024 13:36

Firstly, congratulations!!

I didn’t have any pregnancy symptoms with my first and I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant and haven’t felt a thing yet.
I was worried at first but the midwife said take it as a win! Hopefully you’ll continue to feel good throughout your pregnancy as it’ll help you cope when it gets harder.

Nothing to worry about! Some people never get pregnancy symptoms and some are full of them! Congratulations! X

5 weeks + 5 for me

KittyFantastica · 08/03/2024 13:39

Sorry for your loss. I'm currently 7+5 here (though measuring 6+1) and beyond about three days of sore boobs around week 6, and one instance of isolated cramping two weeks ago, no symptoms. Not everyone gets symptoms and a lot of the times symptoms don't start until later on once the hormones are really ramping up.

I also had an early loss in January this year and understand the anxiety, but you've literally been pregnant for two days. Give it some time.

Hi, same as you! I'm 9/10 DPO had just had my BFP an hour ago 🥰😭

Also totally symptomless. I actually asked in the ttc March thread yesterday if it was possible to have zero tww symptoms and still get a positive. I was told yes, someone said they had zero symptoms and now have a 3 year old.

This is such an exciting and nerve wracking time!

@Sparksi eeeek how exciting, how are you feeling after your loss? Will this be your first too?

I really really hope this is a sticky baby, only just found out and already cant imagine losing it 😟

JRTfan · 08/03/2024 14:06

It will. I’m trying not to get too excited until after I have a scan, not that it makes any difference to the outcome but I just found it very hard last time. The loss was at 5 weeks and 4 days and I conceived immediately again without a period in between.

Remember that the vast majority of known pregnancies result in babies! You deserve to celebrate this as it is such an exciting time :) November is a lovely time to have a baby I think!

@Sparksi yeah you're right, just need to think positive.

I'm hoping to go for a private early reassurance scan around 8 weeks. And November is a good time, it will be our 1 year wedding anniversary that month and is also my mums birthday month who's passed away.

Slightly nervous about having a newborn throughout winter (I was thinking all these things before I even got a positive 😂) but some lovely mumsnetters said it's been good for them as they have hibernated at home and by the time spring/summer rolls around again baby is more in a routine and is slightly bigger to enjoy the summer. And I wasn't keen on baby being born so close to Christmas but I would have dealt with it.

First babies, let's go! 💪🏽

Just think it gets you out of having visitors or passing the baby around as it’s cold / flu season

Rosesanddaisies1 · 08/03/2024 14:39

About 6 weeks. Some people get nothing and have fine pregnancies! Enjoy feeling fine.

Why would you want to get out of that? Much better to expose baby to germs early on, get their immune system going.

Because not everyone wants to have visitors when they’ve just got home or pass the baby around .
plus when it comes to germs , newborns are at risk of infections before they have their vaccines and also it’s prime rsv where you get a lot of the older generation who still think it’s appropriate to kiss babies

and the comment was a sarcastic joke implying it’s good winter excuse to use

elsie888 · 08/03/2024 21:49

Congratulations enjoy the no symptoms mine hit me like a ton of bricks at 7-8 weeks ! 12 weeks Monday and still feel like death xx

LER2023 · 09/03/2024 08:25

Going from LMP i must have been around 2 weeks pregnant, i missed my period by 1 day and realised something wasnt right and took a test and got a bfp!!
Fast forwatd to 5 weeks i couldnt keep my eyes open past 6pm..
Fast forward again to 7+4, on the day, the dreaded nausea came! I was one dry heave away from throwing up!
No cravings just yet, im currently 8+5 still feel extremely exhausted, sick, with no energy. It may come OP. but there are some lucky people who dont get symptoms!

LittleDoveLove · 09/03/2024 21:17

I barely had any symptoms my entire pregnancy this time. Last time I felt awful from about week 6. Don't be alarmed if you don't have symptoms. I was so stressed constantly because I didn't but I'm almost 37 weeks now. I had a couple of weeks towards end of trimester I had low level queasiness for about 18 hours a day and was falling asleep by 9 - which although wasn't ideal it certainly wasn't awful like my first pregnancy symptoms were. X

Greeneyegirl · 09/03/2024 21:18

I didn't get any symptoms until I got pelvic girdle pain around 21 weeks. Never felt sick or tired or anything

LittleDoveLove · 09/03/2024 21:19

First trimester* basically if I didn't know I was pregnant I probably wouldn't have realised. Best of luck OP every pregnancy is different and mine certainly have been! X
