Hi, I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant. This is my third pregnancy, one natural which sadly ended at 13 weeks, one IVF which resulted in the birth of my daughter and this is another IVF pregnancy. I know it’s early days but I don’t feel pregnant at all, no symptoms whatsoever and in my first two pregnancies I had symptoms quite early on. Has anyone experienced very different symptoms in their pregnancies? Trying not to worry and overanalyse. I have a scan in 10 days so will hopefully have reassurance then.

I was pregnant with twin IVF pregnancy and the only symptom I had were sore boobs for one day the day before test day. Sadly lost one twin at 9 weeks, but I now have an older teen, so no symptoms isn’t an indicator of anything ime.

I’m sorry to hear that you lost a twin, but thanks for sharing, hopefully I’m just overthinking things

I had no pregnancy symptoms whatsoever when I was pregnant with my dd. Just tiredness and a missed period which was the only clue. I didn’t feel pregnant at all and was desperate for morning sickness just to feel like it was actually happening. I had a scan at 6 and then 8 weeks as I just didn’t believe it. She’s now a very active 2 year old!

@Hiddenvoice ah that’s lovely. Yes probably all in my head, just comparing too much to previous pregnancies but I have heard that you can get different symptoms for each pregnancy

This is exactly me right now. 11+3 and can count on 1 hand the days I had a 'symptom' of pregnancy. Except being tired - which I am constantly

@BC2603 you almost wish for morning sickness etc don’t you? I’m a bit tired too but then I’m running around after a toddler all day so that could explain it. Have you had your scan yet?

@Frenchie86 it’s so easy to compare pregnancies as you expect them to be exactly the same. With my baby boy, I had quite a bit of spotting and bleeding which was incredibly different from my first.
When I had no symptoms with my first, my midwife told me to hold on as they would probably start around 6-7 weeks pregnant so there’s plenty of time for some symptoms to start!

@BC2603 congratulations on your pregnancy! Hope the tiredness eases up soon

The only potential symptom I had prior to morning sickness kicking in at exactly 7 weeks was feeling unusually thirsty- and to be honest that could have been a coincidence. DD is fighting her nap as we speak. She is my only child so I can’t compare to other pregnancies, but just for some reassurance 🙂

I think that the symptoms people experience in very, very early pregnancy are sometimes caused by wishful thinking/over analysing rather than actually being caused by pregnancy, if you see what I mean.

@Frenchie86 yes! I have an active job so just thought I was overdoing it - then took a test. 🤣 I’ve had a dating scan early as periods were erratic then I had a private one Monday due to a small bleed. My official 12 week scan is 19th March

@Hiddenvoice thank you! Normally I’m happily out all day but having to come home for a sofa session over lunch 🤣

I have a happy healthy 15 month old. My only symptom at 5 weeks was a missed period. By 6 weeks I had nausea and sore boobs, but 5 weeks is very early and not unusual to have no symptoms yet. I remember feeling really worried at 9 weeks when my boobs suddenly stopped hurting - but everything was fine! It's just hormone levels fluctuating and symptoms will come and go. Also things will vary wildly from one pregnancy to the next so try not to worry. I'm sure having your scan will alleviate some of it, but do try to enjoy this wonderful time. And congratulations! ❤️

Thank you all, it’s so easy to get carried away with the worrying isn’t it? Interesting to know that some of you who’ve had another baby have had different symptoms. 5 weeks is quite early, I think I’ll just have to be patient and wait for my early scan.
