Pregnancy

Talk about every stage of pregnancy, from early symptoms to preparing for birth.

I have put this in the 'Health' topic as well, but not getting any replies so thought I'd try here as well.

Health topic title: I have a pregnant belly, but I'm not pregnant (well at least probably not), it is not wind, I am not due on very soon, I don't get water retention, what the hell is it?

We are TTC'ing, but I am only on CD22 now, and although I do show very early in pregnancy (about 6 weeks with DS2, and just under 6 weeks with a MC in January) I have had this belly since Friday (I think, bank holiday shave mucked up my days....) it is getting bigger and harder by the day.

Obviously being a pretty much obsessed TTC'er, first thoughts turn to pregnancy, but I know it is very very unlikely to be pregnancy causing this so early on, so if it isn't that, and none of the stuff in the title, what is it?

I am driving myself mad. DH isn't helping.

See now I am starting to wonder if it actually is possible it could be down to pregnancy..........

I OV'ed somewhere around CD13 (going from EWCM)

I can't really go to the GP and ask for a scan because I think I am 3 weeks pregnant, surely he would just laugh me out of the room?

I know I keep swinging from one thing to the next, but my head is going all over the place at the moment!

no, but you could go to the GP and say you are worried due to swollen, hard tummy and get him/her to examine you. There could be other reasons eg bowel, ovarian for a swollen tummy - if it's really as obvious as you think it needs checking out!

Hmmmmmm good point!

Maybe I should just wait and see if period shows up? Will be due on on CD29, so that is the 1st of March (just checked calender for that, and I am actually on CD23, not 22 ) so it's only just under a week, can I hold out that long?

fingers crossed you are pregnant!!!
the only other thing that occurs to me is have you been eating a lot of bread? particularly homemade? i swell up loads when i eat homemade bread!

NatalieJane · 26/03/2008 11:29

Nope, no more bread than usual, and none homemade.

Someone else mentioned wheat intolerence, but I have no alergies or intolerences or anything like that for anything.

Is it possible to talk yourself into having a huge belly, with the crampiness and tightness? I know how possible it is to talk yourself into other pregnancy symptoms, but this would be taking the piss a bit wouldn't it?!
