Second time induction experience?

Has anyone been induced more than once and can share their experience?

I was induced at 40+2 with DD due to pre-eclampsia. My body (and baby) were not ready for birth and it was 3 full days before she arrived (with the help of a ventouse delivery). I swore I’d never be induced again.. however having recently had a debrief I do feel better about what happened.

I’m due DD2 in less than 4 weeks, had a scan on Tuesday and have been booked in to see a consultant on Monday as she’s measuring as large for gestational age. The consultant on Tuesday suggested they will look at offering an induction earlier than the standard 41 weeks due to this.

I’m hesitant. I know growth predictions can be off, though DD1 was 8lb7 at 40+5. I have though been advised that second time inductions are never usually as prolonged as first time around. Curious to know people’s experience?

No experience yet - just solidarity. I was induced at 42 weeks last time and even then it was a huge slog - I just wasn’t dilating despite contracting away for hours and hours. It was horrible.

I am now 40 weeks with my second baby and no sign of anything yet - I had also sworn off a second induction but can see things heading that way unfortunately.
