I'm soon to be a first time mum and even though I'm just over 7months gone now, and have a lovely bump, I still can't quite believe in a few weeks, there will be a little baby here and my life will change forever and beyond all recognition...

Does anyone else feel like that?

I mean I KNOW the deal and everything, but it just seems so amazing...

aww yes perfectly normal. Ds2 is now 12 weeks and still feels unreal.

yes, I remember that feeling well with both of mine.
it really is unbelievable that a little baby can come out of you

I've been really sick and hospitalised and just feeling to grim to get exited or interested, and it all felt just a bit theoretical. Started feeling last week, been home for a few days then this morning I had an antenatal appointment and the MW and I listened to the babe's heartbeat. How cool is that!!!!! Very exited now, 25 more weeks to go!

franke · 26/03/2008 12:47

No, I can't quite believe it either....and this is my third

PortAndLemon · 26/03/2008 12:53

Perfectly normal. This is my second, I'm 39 weeks and I feel even less as though I'm really about to have an actual baby than I did with #1 (and it all seemed a bit surreal that time too).

PixelHerder · 26/03/2008 12:54

Yes I felt very very detached from my bump until she was born! Couldn't believe it was an actual baby and wouldn't have been surprised if it had turned out to be an elephant or something. It was different once she was here though

yep i'm 24 weeks today and the whole thing seems completely bizarre..
