Just thinking about no.2 baby. We already have DS birthday in July and wanted to ask you what month do you think is the best to have a birthday on, for 2nd child?

Whenever it arrives!!!! There are 'pros & cons' for any date in any month....
You do realise that if you try to plan it, you won't get pregnant at 'the right time' don't you .

April i reckon not too old or young for school and the weather is getting nicer for pushing them in the pram as newborns. Also not too near for Christmas and often falls within Easter hols.

June.

for presents - half way between christmases and in time for outdoor game type pressies

for parties - can be outside, and everyone happier in summer . before the summer hols so all friends around to attend birthday celebrations!

the 17th is particularly good. i'm not biased am i ?

also heavily pregnant in winter/early spring so not too hot.

April deffo. Ds is April baby. not pg in summer, not too pg at Christmas. The weather is just warming up and the evenings are lighter so you can bung screaming newborn int eh pram and walk for hours. He was 6 months old before he had his first cold so no stressing over tiny baby with snotty nose. Perfect. Our dc2 is due this May (missed it by one month but I think May should be good too)

I'm due in Sept so my babe will be one of the eldest in it's school year. I have been variously told by my psycologist/clairvoyant/interfering friends and family that it'll be:

1 - A bully
2 - Great at sport
3 - Very clever
4 - Tall (nothing to do with me being 5'8" and it's dad being 6'2" then...)

My birthday is at the start of November and it's always cold & wet and too close to Christmas, and my mum always though she could get away with taking me and my friends to the council firework display instead of having a proper birthday party! I was so envious of my sister's July birthday.

I think 9 months after conception is about right. You can't even control it to that extent.

Well if you could plan it - spring. Not very pg when it's hot, and easy to get out and about with new baby over the spring and summer. Baby gets birthday at a nice time of year, not on top of xmas or in school holidays.

However I've always loved having my birthday in November, near bonfire night - the darkness and fireworks made it really exciting as a child - and as long as a winter birthday is before xmas, it doesn't steal your thunder.
