Painful sex during pregnancy?

I’m currently in my 14 week in pregnancy and I feel like sex is pretty uncomfortable and sore. I do have cyst on my ovary which probably isn’t helping with everything else. Did anybody else experience this? Thank you

It's pretty normal. Lots of hormonal changes and I think it is more likely if you have a cyst/polyp/fibroids. We last had sex when I was about 17 weeks (I instigated it) then decided to just stop until after the baby. It's got to be enjoyable for both people.

Yeah I don't have a cyst, but I actually cried last time we tried and we agreed no more penetrative sex until after baby is born.

I experienced this during my pregnancy. The Dr prescribed a vaginal moisture thing (the one advertised to ‘older’ women). I personally don’t think it actually did anything (moisture wasn’t the issue to start) but no harm trying/seeing if your Dr has any advice. It resolved around my third trimester and was totally fine after pregnancy.

Totally normal. Things may change or they may not. Work out if there’s anything you do like or does feel good for you. I found in the third trimester my libido came back and whilst I couldn’t manage sex I did enjoy a hand job.

@missmoosh its awful isn’t it! I just feel completely different inside, I think we will probably wait now too until the baby is born
