Hello. I am 26 weeks pregnant with EDD in early June 2024. We are considering private birth at UCLH, but have found it difficult to understand how the costing situation works. Specifically, after the private delivery, will we be transferred back to NHS post-natal care including midwife visits and post-natal check ups automatically (at the hospital where we are currently doing the antenatal care, Whipps Cross)? I am finding conflicting information on line and when I spoke to a receptionist at the Suite they weren't sure either and advised me to ask the consultants directly (I am waiting to hear back from them). I'd be grateful if anyone here could share their experience.

Hey!

I’m considering the same! Have you found anymore information on this? Especially consultant fees?

TIA

Hi @freyja91 I hope you and your baby are safe and healthy. I am currently pregnant and considering private care at uclh, so I was wondering if you ended up choosing the Fitzrovia suite and if not, why not if i may ask?

thank you!
