6 weeks and losing pregnancy symptoms should I be worried

Hi all,

my first time posting on here. I am on my third pregnancy having previously had an ectopic and also a silent miscarriage.

im really paranoid past 2 days. I have had sore breasts, bloating and morning sickness for the past 2 weeks every morning consistently. I had my 6 week early scan on Tuesday ( having previously had an ectopic) baby was okay measured 6 weeks and had a heartbeat. Today and yesterday I have had no nausea and I usually feel bloated too but nothing. No sore boobs either for past week. I am panicking now thinking what if it is another miscarriage. I don’t have any children and with my last 2 miscarriages they were both early losses so don’t know what to expect. Is it normal to not feel nausea some days and for pregnancy symptoms to come and go. My partner thinks I’m paranoid as I want a private scan and he said it’s not been a week since last one. Would be grateful for any advice.

Sorry you're going through this and I understand how stressful it is. In my experience (and according to the docs and midwives who've overseen my pregnancies), symptoms aren't a reliable indicator of anything at all, you really can't tell. As hard as it is to relinquish control, the truth is you can't control the outcome here, and the only path is to let time pass. Scans can be reassuring but they can also be highly stressful too. It's a personal choice for you how you find the experience and what you can afford. Sending best wishes and I hope your pregnancy remains viable and successful.

More than likely everything is fine! Yes there’s a chance but I went to see my midwife the other day for my booking appointment (8+4) and told her I had symptoms but they had dropped off so much from when they were at there worst.
without missing a beat she said “yep all completely normal for symptoms to come and go”

would you believe, the day after I’ve been so ill though and wish I’d have appreciated feeling better for a bit 😭

I lost all my symptoms at around 6 and a half weeks, panicked and booked a scan. Everything was fine and I'm now 19 weeks today having gone on to have hyperemisis! heard a lot of people saying they randomly had a few days at 6 weeksish where all symptoms went away and then returned shortly after.

Hi OP, I had this a few days ago, I panicked and booked a scan and all was absolutely fine. It does seem completely normal for symptoms to come and go, but if it'll help I don't see the harm in going for another scan.

Thank you all for the comments I feel a lot calmer knowing that the symptoms come and go. I have booked a scan for reassurance just to put my mind at ease.

I didn't have sore boobs or any morning sickness with both my kids. Some people just don't get symptoms I guess 😀

I had them and then since yesterday they disappeared that’s what’s worrying me. I luckily didn’t have morning sickness with my last pregnancy but had a silent miscarriage so may have been because of that. This time I had morning sickness but it’s faded :(
