I’ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia last year and have always had endometriosis. I’m always exhausted and napping or aching all over. Since being pregnant it’s become worse the pain and exhaustion has anyone got any tips for fibromyalgia while pregnant I’m resting as much as a can warm bath before bed but I feel I’m in the body of a 90 year old.

Have you got access to pain relief and a rheumatologist?

I have fibro, EDS and PsA. Rheumy wrote to my doctor to say I need to continue my pain meds (amitriptyline and codeine) in pregnancy and that has been a huge help. Midwifes and obstetricians have been supportive of this as I need the meds to function.

How far gone are you?

I'm 26 weeks and was utterly exhausted in the first trimester but perked up to my usual levels of tiredness in the second trimester.

I've had my usual aches and pains throughout, particularly in my back and hips. A pregnancy pillow has been really helpful for sleep and extra joint support.

Hey, I too have fibromyalgia and also have had the hell of a hyperemesis pregnancy! Rest, rest and more rest! But also light walks when you feel up to it. Try not to go too long without some kind of gentle movement, otherwise I find the pain levels spike. I have been somewhat fortunate in that it has only really made the fatigue more insufferable on a day to day basis. But have had a few occasions whilst out shopping, where I have hit a brick wall and had to immediately sit wherever it is I am!

Thank you I’m almost 10 weeks so the sickness and exhaustion is rife. Hopefully I’ll perk up in the second trimester. I’m resting up today as I know I pushed myself to much yesterday.

@Movingalong1 i hope things lift for you over the next few weeks! It does for most people (I am just unlucky lol) oh I'm 18+6 today as well forgot to mention in my previous response.

Stick with pacing as well, you may find you need to go back to the beginning with it a bit, to learn what's too much now and what's not enough, though it will constantly change its good to have a worst day pacing plan

Thank you I managed a trip to town for brunch and boots this morning and then back to rest but it was so nice to be out the house.
