I have my baby shower at the weekend and I really want to colour my hair before hand. I can't get in with my hair dresser of course as it's too late but could I buy a packet dye and do it myself at home? So much conflicting information online, any advice would be a huge help!! x

Yes its fine to dye your hair in pregnancy.
Do a patch test first as your skin can be more sensitive. Make sure the room is well ventilated too

I’m not sure what the official line is OP but I used box dye on my hair 3 times when pregnant. I avoided the first trimester but baby is one next week and wasn’t harmed!

Normal you can just try not to get irbil your scalp

I did mine all through my last two pregnancies without any issues. Including coloring it the night before my last c section 9 months ago while packing my hospital bag as the color was developing (I work in obstetrics, you'd think I would have known better to pack earlier but hey ho! 😅)

As others have said - Do a patch test just to be safe cause your skin can be more sensitive and make sure the windows are open wide for ventilation.
