I used to strength train but stopped when I first found out I was pregnant because I felt so awful! I'm now 11 weeks and feeling a bit better and want to start up again :) did anyone else weight train after stopping for a little while?

I did quite a bit of exercise when I was pregnant with my first baby. I spoke to my midwife about it and she said just to be careful I wasn’t straining myself, putting too much pressure on my stomach and over doing it but still encouraged me to keep active for as long as I could.

I'm still weight training at 28 weeks, I bought Bumps & Burpees book which contains modifications for each trimester which I'd really recommend. She's on Instagram too.

General rules are don't start doing anything you didn't do before pregnancy (but a break in first trimester is fine!) and don't go above 7/10 rate of exertion. And stop if you don't feel good, obviously.
