So I'm 40 weeks tomorrow and over the last two or three weeks baby's movement have changed from big movements and big kicks that were very regular, to him just slowly shifting around with not much energy. I have been to triage three times in the last two weeks and every time, everything is normal. Passed his NST, heart rate, ultrasound etc all normal. The doctor and the nurses weren't concerned about him. I have an appointment tomorrow, but he's not been very active at all this morning. Wriggles here and there. Should I be pushing for an early induction? Any advice if you went through similar? Is it normal for babies to run out of room and slow down at the very end?

Go back to MAU today, don’t wait until your appt tomorrow. Going in 3 times for RFM and over 37 weeks in our area means you would be offered induction.

Technically yes there is less room so movement can change from how it felt in the previous months.

But any concerns should always be checked, if he’s not moving much today then get straight onto them and go in for monitoring. You can ask to discuss induction whilst you’re there!

Get checked for sure follow your gut instinct I was induced 37 + 6 with first due to reduce movement episodes

Am glad you are going back to be checked 🙏

If you know something is wrong, get checked and insist on what you think is wrong. You know your body more than anyone else

It's crazy because even now he's moving so much more. It always happens before I go in for monitoring and he ends up passing his NSTs.
