Hi,

On ocassion when walking my dogs I get this terrible, crippling pain down one day. It is similar to a very bad stitch.
Stopping is the only thing that eases it. walking slowly doesnt help.
I am 22 weeks pregnant any thoughts?

I used to get an agonising pain on one side just below the ribs when I was pregnant - the midwife never seemed that concerned as everything else was ok. I found the only way to deal with with was paracetamol (which I was told was ok in pregnancy) and having a sit down. Later on I found gentle stretching (pilates streatch where you sit cross legged and stretch your arm over your head gently leaning to the other side) and swimming really helped. Its probably not serious but I definately get it checked out by the midwife/doc first though before trying any home remedies.

I used to get this and I found that a belly belt helped(or braces supporting maternity trousers worked even better!!).

I am not sure if it is round ligament pain, or similar, but I would have to 'carry' bump and shuffle home. Awful.

I get the same here. I am 24 weeks now, and for the last two or three weeks get terrible stitch sometimes even if I'm only walking for a few minutes. I too 'carry bump and shuffle home'!

May look into a belly belt.
