Placenta previa

I had my 20 week scan the other day and she said I have a placenta previa, it's almost completely covering. She said there's a chance it could, but with how it is small chance. I have a rescan at 32 weeks to see if it's moved.
I work as a cleaner in a care home, am I still able to continue? I work 6 hours, 7 including to and from work walking. Anything I need to stop doing.

Thanks 😀

Hi there, I would follow your doctor's advice. Normally you should avoid lifting heavy objects or doing things like squats (I had placenta previa twice)

Yeah the sonographer didn't really say much part from no more intercourse. I think she said ill have an appointment with consultant.
I'm already not lifting heavy, but even with breaks I'm on my feet alot so I didn't know if that would affect me. 😬

Talk to your midwife about it? I had placenta previa at my 20 week scan (covered the cervix with no gap at all) and the sonographer didn’t say much other than don’t have sex and to look out for any bleeding, call the hospital/maternity unit if you do.

I had a rescan at 31 weeks and it had moved up enough to not be an issue, there was enough of a gap by that point.
