Cannot stand Cyclogest

I've been prescribed it twice a day, pessaries 400mg. It drives me insane. It totally knocks me out within 2-3h. To the extent I have to go to bed and somehow regain my consciousness. It influences my work performance. Has anyone succeeded in getting the dosage down? I cannot find the right time to use it cause it will affect my morning or afternoon. I'm to use for another 10 weeks and there is no question of going off work. My midwife appointment is this week. But I reckon she cannot change my prescription. To I need to go to the EPU?

No, after three miscarriages I was too scared to mess with the dosage. I've been finally weaned off it just yesterday at 28 weeks after taking it since late August.

I hope you find a solution that works for you!

@TheBirdintheCave I have checked my notes, in my last pregnancy I had 200+200 but I was in another country so the guidelines must be different.
Gosh. Just cannot handle it on top of nausea and vomiting.
I will talk to the midwife and maybe my gp perhaps they have some alternatives. It is very tough with the full time job

I had 800mg of Cyclogest a day as well as Prolutex (which might be an alternative, it's an injection, though). Luckily, I was signed off work and phased it out from 12 weeks onwards.
Can you get your work schedule adjusted somehow so that you can have a quick nap?

@Busyhedgehog thanks for sharing. I'll be asking my doctor. Perhaps we will work smth out together. I need to function 😕
