Is it Twins?

Hi , I had a scan on my 5th week and the ultrasound image shows two gestational sac with same gestational age but the doctor didn't talked about the second sac and I'm confused whether I'm having twins or not.The next scan is on 1st March and I'm waiting for that

Yes two gestational sacs is a twin pregnancy. It's not uncommon for one of these sacs not to develop though, so it may not remain a twin pregnancy. Many pregnancies start off as twin pregnancies but by the time people get to their first scans at 12 weeks there is just 1 baby. We have scans much earlier these days so these get picked up. Did they confirm it was 2 sacs or do you think you saw 2 sacs?

What did they say about the first sac? They look very different to each other

I had ectopic pregnancy and that was a miscarriage ,and after 2 years when i found I'm pregnant this is the early-stage test to make sure that this is not in tube. Doctor only refered the gestational sac 1 and since it is too early told to wait for the next scan . And while I'm back to home I saw 2 gs with same ga . that's what I'm so confused

Sometimes you can have two gestational sacs this early on and no yolk sac in one so one just doesn't develop into anything more. Until a heartbeat can be detected you have no idea whether it's twins or a singleton pregnancy so go back around 6 weeks.

On your scan there doesn't appear to be a yolk sac in the top gestational sac.
