Hello
I have a 6 year old daughter. I last has sex in around July 2023. I was having sex from February 2023 until the end of July 2023 when we were no longer dating and have not had sex since.

I have been having extreme stomach cramps today, perhaps not bad enough to go to a&e but I do have a high pain threshold. I’ve take paracetamol and they’ve died down somewhat.

I took a pregnancy test just now because I found some old ones from a pregnancy scare and it was positive. I am scared. However I am taking diazepam and have been for a few months due to a very traumatic event. I have read online diazepam can cause false positive pregnancy test results. I have taken the 2 left that I had and both are positives (they’re not the line tests, they’re clear blue digi) so now I’m shocked, not sure what to do, don’t want to waste a&e time. Want to wait it out to see the GP but I’m scared I could be pregnant and will unexpectedly give birth.

I have been having periods, in fact I finished my period a week ago. I’ve been having them every 28 days exactly. I can feel nothing in my stomach. My stomach is very flat. I have no symptoms.

I honestly did not expect the test to show positive I just did it on a whim but what on earth do I do. I’m so scared and lost.

I would honestly go and get an hcg blood test

Lots of pain plus a positive pregnancy test - you need to go and get seen asap without worrying about whether it's a false positive. If you are pregnant you are very pregnant and possibly in the beginnings of labour, but it could be premature. Can you feel your uterus/a baby if you place you hands of your tummy and gently feel around? I'd rather have a long wait at hospital and feel a bit silly over nothing than risk not going. You could always ring 101, they'll probably tell you to go in, and at least you can hid behind "they told me to"!

Have you rang 111 or gone to the hospital? How are you feeling now? Have the pains stopped?

Hiddenvoice · 25/02/2024 07:46

If you’re still having pains then I would contact 111 and explain the situation.
Have you had any movements in your stomach that you can’t explain?

Are you ok OP? X
