Slow rising hCG?

I went to EPU on Thursday with what felt like sharp pains in the middle of my stomach. My tests at the beginning were never dye stealers and increased slowly. EPU scanned me and only found a gestational sack but there was no swelling or mass on my tubes. I had a blood test and that result was 1400 and have been back today and it’s increased to 1900. They’ve advised that it’s obviously increased but not doubled and have asked me to return in 4 days time for repeat bloods and a scan. I’ll be exactly 6 weeks when I return. My reading and first scan was taken when I was 5weeks +1 and today I am 5 +3. I wasn’t really expecting to see anything on the scan anyway so that doesn’t concern me but my hCG has only increased by 36% in around 43 hours. Do I have any hope?

I’m going through the exact same now, how did you get on?

I am also in a similar position

@Shannonw97 how are you doing?

Shannonw97 · 08/02/2025 08:02

@Simplehuman sadly it ended in an ectopic, I had the methotrexate injection and then ruptured 11 days later and I had a significant amount of internal bleeding! However, my body naturally absorbed the blood and my tube will hopefully heal itself so there’ll be no need for surgery x

@Shannonw97 I am so sorry to hear that!
I'm glad you're healing well
Wishing you a speedy recovery and hopefully no surgery needed xxx
