Hi all,
I'm 6 weeks pregnant and already have a noticeable bump. This is my fourth pregnancy so is this normal to show this early? I have looked online but it says its more likely to be bloating so I don't know what to think. My youngest is nearly 11 and honestly I can't remeber when I started showing with him. I still can't quite believe I'm pregnant, I did 9 tests as couldn't believe it and feel like I should do another LOL. However I am worrying alot because of my age ( as the doc put it, I'm classed as a geriatric mum) and what I put my body through due to mental health issues prior to finding out. I am having cramps which I was told by the doctor is normal but also having a lot of back pain.. I do have a bit of low blood pressure but nothing to concerning the doc said. When I found out I started taking folic acid, is there anything else that would be worth taking?
Any help and advice would be so appreciated ❤️

Hi! Very similar story here too, expecting no 5 and also classed as geriatric mum with my youngest being almost 10.

I am 24 weeks pregnant at the moment, but I too was showing shockingly early. I think it was a combination of bloating, and also because my stomach muscles started separating unusually early, especially above my belly button (like my body was saying ‘here we go again, might as well do this now!’). Right now I look like I should be giving birth I am so big, but I tell my children it is because the baby has a ready-made mansion to grow into.

I had back pain really early on as well, with a week off work because I couldn’t move without screaming and I could only take paracetamol. It was only one bad week, and thankfully it hasn’t returned yet. I had a few exercises given by a physio to help.

I must say that this time round has been more difficult for me, more morning sickness than before, more tiredness, more medication (baby aspirin and iron) and more tests involved. Just because I am older I think I am more paranoid about things going wrong because they make such a big deal about it on the internet. My midwife said that being over 40 and pregnant isn’t a big issue anymore and she sees a lot of older mums, so maybe I should stop reading about what should go wrong and enjoy it more.

Good luck!

Evening all,
So I had a scan today as had some spotting and pain. I'm 6weeks+2 today. The scan results showed that the yolk sac /gestational sac were present and is where it should be but no fetal pole could be detected and I also have bleeding adjacent to the sac. I am booked in next Tuesday for another scan. I was told to try and remain positive as it could just be too early to see and bleeding can be normal due to implantation but I am so worried and upset and have spent the whole afternoon crying as really wasn't expecting that today. I have googled a few articles and want to remain positive but already I'm fearing the worst. Has anybody else had a similar experience. 🥺
