Hello ladies,
I am nearly 15 weeks pregnant and am feeling so rough. I feel like I have a constant hangover. I was quite nauseous from week 6 to 10 then from week 11 I've felt exhausted. I've had to take almost two weeks off work, went back for a week now I'm off again since Monday. I had a virus week 11 and since then I've been more or less bed bound. I have a 4,yo so have to look after her which I'm trying my best to. But I just can't shake this absolute exhaustion. I hate calling in sick to work essentially because I'm tired, it seems so pathetic. But I genuinely cannot get out of bed until early evening. Then I'll have some dinner and am ready again for bed by 9pm. I have tried to speak to GP/midwife but all I've managed is to get a blood test booked for next Monday. Anyone else experiencing the same? Ideas of why I'm so exhausted and feel so rough? Suggestions on how I can feel better ?

I’m 15 weeks today and have called in for my first ever sick day from work. I’ve felt rough since 7 weeks or so - exhausted, nauseous, weird aches and pains - but have tried to power through. Today I feel totally rotten (chills, aches, sore chest, absolutely no energy) so am guessing I’ve picked up a virus as well. I’ve got a five year old but luckily it’s half term here so I’d already made arrangements for her. This doesn’t really help you in the slightest but just wanted to offer my sympathy and reassure you that it’s not just you feeling like death. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you...it does help to know that I'm not alone! But I'm sorry you're feeling rotten too!

Sorry you feel so bad - I had the same until 18 weeks when suddenly it felt like a switch was flipped and my nausea and crankiness and tiredness felt better. It wasn’t until recently the tiredness came back and I have low iron levels.

It is just an awful stage. Fingers crossed it is over for you all soon.
