2nd Pregnancy - lack of symptoms

I'm currently 5+4 pregnant with our second baby. My first pregnancy with DD came with awful sickness and sore boobs around this time. At the moment I have no symptoms other than a missed period and positive tests.

Did anyone else find 2nd pregnancy came with less symptoms?

I’m nearly 7 weeks with my second and have no symptoms yet. I think I’m a bit more tired than usual but I have a nearly 1 year old to run around after so I’m generally tired anyway. First time round I had really sore boobs, was exhausted and nauseous etc. Though those symptoms started at around 7 weeks so I’m hoping I’ll have some symptoms in the next few days.
It’s hard not to worry when you know how you felt last time and this time feels so different.
We’ve got an early private scan booked for later this week so I’m trying to keep positive until then.

I didn't get symptoms with this pregnancy until I was 7 weeks

Currently 15wks with my second. Barely had any symptoms other than achey boobs and gassiness. With my first I had bad nausea (no actual sickness) and extreme fatigue which both hit around week 7. I was very nervous this time round that I had no major symptoms (particularly as I'd had losses last year) but everything has been fine so far. 🙏🏼🌈

I remember being worried about this as I was sick as a dog as soon as I found out I was pregnant witn dc1. With dc2, I found out I was pregnant at 10dpo and was worried I had no symptoms. Symptoms (severe morning sickness) kicked in at exactly 6 weeks, which is the average time for it to start. In reality, I probably just found out I was pregnant later with dc1 as it was unplanned.

I wrote on here at a similar time with my second that I had no symptoms. At about 6 weeks I started throwing up all day every day so never say never at this point 😂 There’s still plenty of time for them to start.

Yes, due to my recurring losses the hospital offered me an early scan (measured 6+2 at the first) and followed up with fortnightly scans until my 12wks. I was so nervous each time but thankfully all has progressed well so far. 💕

I'm going out of my mind. Had every symptom going with DD1, this time absolutely nothing and I'm worried sick. I'm 5 +1 I did had symptoms at 4 weeks and now everything has gone. I wonder if I should be concerned?

I hope your ok, I remember the worry well.

I'm now 21 weeks. Some days my symptoms were worse than others. Sickness was there but not everyday.

I did go for a couple of private scans at before my dating scan which helped my anxiety xx

It's so strange, I just don't feel pregnant. I wake up and have really bad hunger pains and then in the evenings I get heartburn and a really saw throat like I'm getting ill - but that's it.

But during the day, I have nothing. My stomach has gone a lot flatter now, I just assumed I'd stay bloated too.

I tested again and got a dye stealer, so there's progression still on my cheapy tests, but no way of knowing if all is OK for sure until my scan on the 18th. Xx

If it helps at all this has been me in my last two pregnancies and then somewhere between 6-7 weeks I start throwing up relentlessly and feeling like I’m dying from tiredness. But before those symptoms hit I scoured the internet for similar stories and worried myself mad. It’s because with my first pregnancy I had every symptom going from day one.

Ah, my sickness this time didn't start until 7 weeks ish and I didn't get sore boobs until this point either where as with my 1st pregnancy I had sore boobs before I got a positive test.

How are along will you be at your scan?

Hmm, I wonder if I'll be the same. Sounds just like me with my first.

I will be 6 +6 at my scan. It's probably a little too early, but I'm so impatient I couldn't wait any longer than that.

I suppose by the point I could be around 5 days behind because I don't know exactly when I ovulated this month/conception etc.

It just feels like such a miracle after 3 months of no periods for me and nearly 2 years TTC.

You mentioned you had a few early scans. At what stages we're these? Xx

I had a scan at almost 7 weeks where we saw his heartbeat and we had one at 9 weeks before we went away on holiday.

@jlh276 Hiya, not great. I had brown stringy discharge and cramps over the weekend.

I'm being seen at my local EPU tomorrow when I'll 5 +6. I'm not sure what they'll see at this stage when I go.

They said it's one of two things: implantation bleed or an MC. I have no symptoms now either, so it's not looking too positive for me.

How are you getting on?

@jlh276 So the syptoms have hit. I'm feeling quite nauseous. The scan went well, I'm around 5 and half weeks they think and we saw a tiny heartbeat.

I'm now unsure whether to go on my holiday to Greece in two weeks; 1. Incase I have anymore bleeding and 2. Mosquitos.

Does anyone know if there is a high chance of being bitten there at that time of year? X

I'm not sure about mosquitoes this time of year, hopefully someone else can help 😊

My symptoms are not too bad now, occasional heartburn and feel sick but nothing major.
