Germaloids Suppositories and cream.

Mamaspegg · 19/02/2024 21:44

Can you not have any creams or pessary things when pregnant? I had them postpartum so not sure, but I feel your pain...they're horrendous! Wish I named mine though 😂 He would have been a Percy I reckon. They gave me these pessary things that I had to keep in the fridge and they were cold when you pop them up there, was quite soothing actually 😂

😂😂😂😂😂 naming it is the only way I can feel ok with it hanging around. I was told I wasn't allowed creams or pessaries, but a frozen pessary is exactly what I need 😩 12 weeks to go! I imagine birth will make it worse but atleast I can treat it after...

Percy sounds like Pedros mate, little beggars!

You defo can have cream. Mine was horrendous when I was 40 weeks pregnant and got prescribed some. Literally worst 2 weeks of my life 🤣🤣🤣 would go through child birth 1000 times than have piles again truly horrific .

Germaloids are safe in pregnancy and for breastfeeding. I’ve had them as a staple in my bathroom cupboard since having DC. Hate to tell you, they might keep coming back so just keep a permanent supply in. Second piece of bad news, you really do need to opt for the suppositories to feel the longer term relief (ignore the immediate short term discomfort). Final piece of bad news, if you need laxatives and speak to a male pharmacist they’ll just tell you to eat more fibre and drink more water, even though you’ve already had a vegetable and black lentil dhal and as much water as you can handle with a baby’s head squeezing it. Give him a look and you can eventually get some laxatives, which don’t really help.

Hahaha 😂😂
Aww that's the worst! I'm a first time mama, and pushed out an unexpectedly big 9lb 5oz boy! Never had piles until then and hope I never have them again 😭 I had to take iron postpartum too which made me so constipated it was an awful mix! The cream and pessaries worked sooo fast though, so if Pedros still about by then or has mates with him, at least you can evict them haha! All the best for your pregnancy and beyond!

You can use anusol suppositories and cream in pregnancy, and if you haven't already try to push him back in each time you go to the loo.

FoFanta · 19/02/2024 22:18

You can use cream. Bizarrely, granulated sugar also works really well. I'd put a towel on the bed first. But you shouldn't be suffering with them, there are definitely things that can be done.

LiIacMoon · 20/02/2024 13:19

I used germaloid , its safe for pregnancy and high fibre. It took a few weeks to really have any effect.
I understand how your feeling, its bloody awful. I was unfortunate to develop severe constipation and numerous piles during my first trimester. I remember the pain was excruciating and I bled quite a bit.
You have my full sympathy. Hope Pedro fucks off soon
