Sorry for the long post, but I just need some advice.
I previously had a miscarriage in November and then had my first period after the miscarriage in the first week of January. Previously, my cycle was relatively regular, but I was expecting it to be a bit messed up after having a miscarriage.
I have been doing regular ovulation tests as me and my husband still very much want to have a baby. However, my ovulation didn't seem to come till about 3 weeks after my period (which I thought was a bit odd but didn't think too much of it as I knew my cycle would be different). I then had some spotting the first week of February, which I thought was the start of my period. I had 2 days of heavy spotting, 1 day of medium bleeding, and another day of spotting. This was very out of the ordinary for my cycle as I normally have quite a heavy period. Again, I didn't think too much into it after my previous miscarriage. Even after having what I thought was a period, something in the back of my mind was saying something wasn't right, so Thursday morning, I did a pregnancy test, which was positive. I booked an appointment with my early assessment unit on Friday for Sunday morning. I go to my appointment on Sunday, and they do bloods and then say they will offer me a scan depending on my levels. My levels came back at around 4,500, so they offered me a scan the same day.
I went back in for the scan, and they told me a gestational sac could be seen but no internal contents, and the sac was measuring at less than 5 weeks.
They asked me to come back in two weeks to see if things have progressed or not.
I just dont know what to think at this point. Could this be a true pregnancy, or is it more likely something that will not develop? Any past experience or help would be great!
