Hi,
I've just found out I'm expecting. I have a 14 year old and just feel like I'm getting my life back, I'm really unsure if I want to start again, I'm late 30's and partner early 40's. Am I being selfish?

You’re not being selfish, no. Only you can decide if having another child is right for you.

@NaiceLimeBear Same dad or different?
I have two children with my ex-husband (13 and 16) and a 3 yo with my husband now. She was planned; he didn't have any bio children of his own, but we only made the decision after an uplanned pregnancy on the mini pill (sadly resulting in mc).
When we had her we were we were 39 and 44 and yes we absolutely knackered but no regrets. Her two older brothers adore her (most of the time!) ❤️

Different dad, he doesn't have children of his own which complicates this somewhat?

Not being selfish at all. Also, with a 14 year old who will spend her next few years doing exams she’s going to need you more than ever.

It doesn't complicate things, still your body and your choice. You have a lot of thinking to do, no one can tell you what is right

LorlieS · 19/02/2024 12:57

@NaiceLimeBear Exactly the same here. Personally speaking, it made things easier for us that hubby had no children of his own prior to our daughter.
But it's of course absolutely your choice and whatever you choose to do is OK ❤️

Think about what you want not what other people might think is selfish. It’s your body.
