i had a frozen double embryo transfer on 8th feb and I have no symptoms at all. I have slight cramping, sometimes and slightly sore boobs when I press them but away from that I feel… fine

I did a test on Thursday afternoon then one today mid morning and the lines are getting darker just worried about the lack of symptoms

Has Anyone experienced anything like this before before? I’m technically only 4 weeks pregnant so maybe it’s too early for major symptoms?

Reassurance please 🙏

Wow that’s the same date as my transfer ten years ago! I had no symptoms at all to be honest Didn’t feel any different at all.

UnicornGirl2024 · 18/02/2024 21:42

I did not have any symptoms till about 6w after my transfer besides some cramping and it’s a twin pregnancy. Even after that was not anything major mostly sore boobs tiredness and a restless feeling on my legs, no nausea no nothing. 18w today and going strong and honestly I miss those symptomless days😅

UnicornGirl2024 · 18/02/2024 21:46

Ok cool thanks for the reply

and last question what do you think about the lines getting darker the right level of darkness etc 😂

TeaKitten · 18/02/2024 21:47

Hi yes ! Successful pregnancy!

CB2805 · 18/02/2024 22:06

@UnicornGirl2024 I personally see a beautiful line progress on your tests (take it from a serial tester at early days😅)
we are officially due 19th of July for a 40w pregnancy obv but my consultant wants to get them out at around 37w if they don’t show up earlier on their own!
oh symptoms wise at 18w where to start and where to finish it lol😅 constant discomfort, I’m getting quite big already and my body havent used to it(I’m quite petite), horrible horrible heartburn and constipation, constant exhaustion although I can’t sleep at night at all and it seems every other weird new symptom comes and goes on daily basis nose and gum bleeds being this weeks stars😂

I remember being in your shoes in early days waiting and begging for all the symptoms when reading other ladies stories but I can certainly tell you that they will show up at one point and won’t be enjoyable!

lemongirl1985 · 18/02/2024 22:06

No ivf but 3 natural pregnancies and in all 3 started to have symptoms in week 5-6. Congratulations 🥳

JRTfan · 18/02/2024 22:41

Congratulations! I had IVF tested positive day 8 after 5 day FET. Zero symptoms, none at all went for 6 and 8 weeks scans convinced there can't be anything there. Now 22 weeks and aside from a random fainting episode last week still no symptoms. Midwife told me it's not uncommon for people to not have symptoms we are just programmed to believe it will happen because it does in films and those with symptoms are more likely to tell others. It is unnerving when you can't feel anything but you just have to try and trust that all is ok..

Keha · 18/02/2024 23:26

2 pregnancies (not ivf), no real symptoms before about 6 weeks, then definite morning sickness for several weeks. I wouldn't worry that you have no symptoms yet. Good luck with your pregnancy.

@UnicornGirl2024 yes my consultant is planning a c section at 37w due to previous surgeries she believes will be safer for the babies. I’m not really bothered but I would love a natural birth

UnicornGirl2024 · 19/02/2024 13:51

@CB2805 yes either would be fine … very exciting times ❤️

Hi all,
I am on HRT cycyle. I did my embryo transfer on 8th of February. After my embryo transfer nurses had told me to do pregnancy test on Saturday 17th Feb and 19th Feb. Unfortunately my both test came negative. I have informed doctor and they said stop medication.Based on your experiences do you think I still have chance to get positive result? Has anyone experienced the same?

UnicornGirl2024 · 19/02/2024 23:14

@JRTfan hi, thank you for your reply. Yes it is unnerving isn’t it because you think I feel absolutely fine just like I did before. I maybe slightly a bit more tired and my boobs hurts a little bit but away from that I’m absolutely fine. Thank you for your feedback I really appreciate it x

OP posts:
UnicornGirl2024 · 19/02/2024 23:15

@ShreeSha Hi, I’m not 100% sure so don’t want to give out any false information. All I will say is that we had the same embryo transfer date and I was given the test day of the 21st of February. X I will double check with your clinic, but maybe there’s no problem with carrying on the medication for a couple more days? What are you on blood thinners, oestrogen tablets and progesterone? X

Hi again all

Edited

They look good but honestly I wouldn’t get too hung up on line progression because the darkness/faintness of the line only indicates the concentration of HCG in the urine (whilst it should get darker as the HCG level rises in early pregnancy it can also be affected by how hydrated you are etc which can dilute the concentration in your urine- so don’t panic if the lines don’t always get darker every time you test).
Are you having a blood HCG test done?

UnicornGirl2024 · 20/02/2024 06:31

@Teaandcrumpets86 hi, thanks for this. No to be honest I’m based in the UK. I will get a early scam probably next week or the week after I’ve never heard of having a blood test before but I’ve seen a little bit on posts on here but it’s not something I’ve ever had X I’m just gonna wait for the scan which will be at six weeks
