Did you have NIPT/harmony sooner with 2nd baby?

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and thinking about having NIPT done at 10 weeks (before my 12 week scan)

In my first pregnancy baby, had a high NT measurement at 12 weeks and then went on to having NIPT and CVS (both came back normal) and baby was healthy and well.

I'm fuelled to have it done at the earliest possible time with this pregnancy because of all the anxiety caused after my 12 week scan. So I feel one step ahead if baby has a high NT this time.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?
Also I'm late 30s so higher risk.

I had NIPT privately for both my pregnancies. I was encouraged to wait until 11 weeks as otherwise there sometimes isn't enough of the dna fragment in the blood and you need another draw.

I delayed my 12 week scan to be closer to 14 weeks which gave enough time to results to come back and then declined the NHS screening and gave them the results of my NIPT.

I did mine at 11 weeks and got the results a week later, the same day as my 12 week scan. I had to rebook the 12 week scan as it was inconclusive due to baby's position so was very glad to have the NIPT results that day.

I did mine at 10 weeks and 4 days and it wasn’t an issue at all. We got the results a week later and I had the 12 week scan a week after that

I had mine at 11 weeks in place of a 12 week scan since I was abroad and NIPT was just the standard offering. They wouldn’t do it before then as too great a chance of needing to redo and I’d already had an 8 week scan so could be fairly sure on dates.

I had it in both of mine. First I had at 10+3 and second at 11 weeks. I'm glad as I did as they couldn't get the measurements at the 12 week one with my second. All looked fine in terms of size but just couldn't actually get the measurement so I was glad I had had the harmony already.

Had my second one at 10 weeks and my first at 11 but only cos of when my booking bloods were - I didn't want to have two blood tests in a week.

I decided to have it early as had lots of friends, especially those in their mid-30s and above that got very high scores on the NHS one and then got them with the NIPT test and odds were low. I didn't want to have to go through that waiting game myself. i declined at my 12 week scan though in my first i didn't realise you got tested for Papp-A etc in my second i felt it didn't matter as on asprin and have growth scans for other medical reasons anyway

Sorry to read this @TealPanda I hope it isn't the case. I had three red bleeds early on in this pregnancy. Hopefully it won't be a MC x
