Bleeding 5w5d - any experiences

Hi all - I’m aware outcome may be bad but just looking to see experiences, bleeding when I was on a light walk 5w5d, like sudden what felt like gush. Rushed home, typically had black trousers on so impossible to tell. But probably a not completely filled pant liner worth of red blood. This happened further time about an hour later a little less and again a little less than than a few hours later. Initially after first bleed was met with cramps that worsened and were quite intense but lasted about 20 min relieved with paracetamol and went. Have not come back, and now bleeding has gone and just some brown discharge at times - but mainly after progesterone pessary, coming out with that. IVF FET so was on twice daily but now told to to three times daily. Never had an preg symptoms to start so can’t tell of a loss of them. Have a scan Tuesday to decide fate but I’m not feeling hopefully! Just want to know what others have been through. Thank you!

Hi hun IVF pregnancy here as well - had red bleeds at 6w 8w 12w and 16w all to subside to brown spotting after the initial gushes. 18w now and waiting for another one to come😭
I remember how frighten I was on my first bleed and I thought I was miscarrying as I experienced cramping as well. But everything turned out well so far🤞🤞
honestly it can go either way but no all bleeding means a loss!
hope everything goes well for you good luck for your scan🫶🏻🫶🏻

@CB2805 thanks for this. It’s just so anxiety provoking. Still no further bleeding just brown d/c but only after/with the pessary remanence, otherwise it’s gone.
no more cramps etc. just hate the wait, didn’t have any pre symptoms to know if they have gone away but for some reason just don’t have a good feeling 😞

@Nay1990 please don’t loose hope yet I was exactly the same. I was just expecting to loose the babies at any point, couldn't even sleep.
Could be even the pessaries irritating your cervix? I’ve red lots of stories about bleeding and pessaries!
let me know how your scan goes tomorrow🫶🏻🫶🏻

Same here IVF FET, red bleeds and cramps at 5+1, 5+6 and 6+3. Had a subchronionic hematoma - apparently more common in IVF. 34 weeks now.

@LittleDoveLove I’m so pleased for you, I’ve lost all hope about tomorrow and feel awful, I just have such a bad feeling. No more bleeding since the main event but I still have no pregnancy symptoms and every single time I do a progesterone pessary (three times a day) afterwards is always brown clots/tissue, usually just the once mixed with pessary, but still it can’t be a good sign. I just feel so terrible about it all :( but it’s so odd as then all day once the pessary remains have gone I don’t have any discharge. So confused - are they stopping it? just have no hope for tomorrow at all 😟

@Nay1990 so sorry I don't have notifications so didn't know you had replied to me. How did you get on? I hope it's good news 🤞 x

Hey @LittleDoveLove !!! Thankfully for now it was good news. The little pebble is measuring on track and had a little heart beat racing away. No idea what caused the bleed they wonder if maybe just irritated cervix. I still just feel rather on edge at the amount of blood and the intense pain that came with it. I’m taking it easy for a few weeks now. Giving the gym a miss until things settle. Still doesn’t put my mind at rest as you see so many people have multiple bleeds or still have terrible outcomes. Find myself hyper paranoid now that I can feel a gush or have that same bleeding feeling - which seems to now just be that psychological damage from something so scary! But thanks for asking - for now, the news is good 🙏
