Brown spotting

Hi all,

I am 3 weeks 6 days pregnant (BFP yesterday) and have had brown spotting for 5 days now.

Does anyone have any positive outcome stories after this? I can't stop worrying it might be an ectopic?

I had brown spotting (IB) in my last pregnancy but that only lasted 2 days.

Hi, I’d try not to worry if it’s brown spotting and only become concerned if you start bleeding bright red blood in period-like quantities.

Don’t forget, your body has now missed a period so it is well likely that your body is just dispelling of any old residue from your last period/from any implantation bleeding that may have happened.

Sounds within normal range if light brown spotting.

If it’s brown I wouldn’t worry, likely old blood, from hormonal changes and implantation. In the nicest way; there’s nothing you can do apart from wait and see how the pregnancy progresses.

Hi ,I had Brown spotting when I found out that I was pregnant for 4 days and later at 7 weeks for 5 days.Nothing was wrong brown spotting eventually stopped.Old blood is clearing out that’s all.Don’t worry and Congratulations on your BFP.
