Morning sickness gone 8w4d

Hi everyone,

I had two chemical pregnancies just before this pregnancy and I've been a nervous wreck the whole time. I had a scan at the EPU because I was experiencing cramping at 6w5d and then a private scan at 7w1d and baby was measuring great with a heartbeat. I experienced quite bad nausea and strong sense of smell all of last week to the point where I could barely function, the smell of nearly everything was making me gag. Since Monday, it's like a switch just flipped and the only thing that's made me gag has been brushing my teeth and other than that I haven't been feeling nauseous at all. I've still been getting the same mild cramps I've had the entire time so far and my boobs are still sore but I'm just really worried about the nausea going, I was never sick but was constantly dry heaving and now just nothing. I've booked a private scan for Saturday but the wait is killing me and the longer I'm going without morning sickness is making me feel like there isn't going to be a heartbeat anymore, I'm just beside myself with anxiety

Please dont be worried and dont stress.

Pregnancy symptoms do come and go.

Im 5+4 today with no nausea, just dry heaving when i go near the bin or the toilet🤣 just nipping for a wee, i'll dry heave as soon as i step near the toilet. Its weird!!

Pregnancy has a weird way of playing with not only your body but your mind!

Some people experience so much nausea and others have it a little bit then nothing after a certain week.

If you are worried, then do book in for a scan, but personally i dont think theres a problem and little bean will have a strong heartbeat!!

Good luck for your scan on saturday, please keep us up to date x

That was about the time I stopped feeling nauseous and all that was left was sore breasts. If you still have other symptoms, you're likely OK. The morning sickness could also return any time.
When I had my mmc prior to this pregnancy, I lost all symptoms at once not just one and I definitely knew something was up.
Good luck for your scan and let us know how it went!

Thank you both so much ❤️ got my scan this morning so will update with how it goes. Ironically, just woken up and actually thrown straight up into the toilet, pity it couldn't have come and reassured me earlier in the week rather than waiting until the day of my scan 😂 xx

I had horrendous sickness with my missed miscarriages however my baby after these losses; sickness came and went here and there; had me questioning too! Try not to worry. My daughter is a happy healthy 15m old 💛

Hope your scan goes well - post miscarriage scans are the worst, the anxiety is just awful 😩. Fingers crossed for that ❤️ beat.

Thank you so much everyone! Baby was wiggling around with a lovely heartbeat and measuring a few days ahead. Also I had a haematoma at my 6 week scan which was worrying me but it's gone down so much she said she wouldn't have even noticed it had I not mentioned it so I'm feeling very relieved and happy now thank goodness ❤️

@minnieot Very pleased that all went well! And didn't I tell you that the sickness could come back anytime? 😉 It will continue to be on and off and that is normal.
Enjoy your pregnancy!
