Yellow/greenish discharge, history of miscarriage

Hi there! A year ago I was pregnant with my second baby (first one is 2 yo) when I noticed a yellow discharge. First scans (6 and 8 weeks) were fine, but at the 12 week mark they found the baby had stopped developing at 9 weeks.

I have done tons of tests and swabs for my discharge, which has continued since, and everything comes clear every time. I'm now pregnant again and my discharge is still there, and I can't help but panic that it will lead to another miscarriage.

Has anyone had anything similar? Any advice or words of encouragement?

Sounds familiar. My brain seems to have blocked out a lot of what happened with my miscarriages but I’ll be honest, the discharge doesn’t sound too worrying

what I would say is, go get yourself a private scan. That’s what I did. ? How far along are you?

totally natural to stress more after loss.
the only way I got through was the extra scans, listening to my body and just trying to get through each day with some positivity.

have you been up to date with your smear tests?

sending love and so much luck for you x

Thanks so much for your kind reply. I’m only 6+5. I’ve done all my tests privately. Smears we’re also done at the end of last year. I’ve done full bloods and screening for bacterial infections and STIs - all clear.

I’m going in on Monday to check for a heartbeat. I think this entire pregnancy will just consist of waiting for the next scan…

Sounds like you’re ok.. discharge can change but if you’ve had all the tests and they’re clear, don’t worry.

honestly, book some extra scans.. worth every penny.

we did them every 8 weeks just for peace of mind.
once you get to the stage that baby is kicking and moving you won’t need to rely on scans… you’ll find other ways to feel less anxious.

you are more than half way through trimester one! Well done.. you’ve got this xx

@PeppyMintOtter do you have an update? ♥️

PeppyMintOtter · 03/03/2024 18:21

Hi @Twinkletwinklelil! I had my 7 week scan a while back and they could see a heartbeat ♥️ However the discharge has turned visibly green 😔 and I have adenomyosis, so I’m afraid I’m no less stressed about my pregnancy. Still keeping my fingers crossed this little one makes it!
