I've just been for an early scan and unfortunately they could only see an empty sac measure 30 4 x 13.5 x 25.8mm no yolk or fetal pole.

Going by the notes it's says in approximately 6 weeks 6 days. Ive been asked to go back in a week to double check but has anyone had an growth this late ? I don't want to get myself false hope but I'm clinging onto a glimmer.

This pregnancy is following an previously loss so I'm longing for something.

Just commenting to bump this for you OP. I'm so sorry, this sounds incredibly stressful. Crossing everything for you.

I had this last week, except I was 6+3 and dated 4 weeks with no yolk or fetal pole. I had to go back in 1 week and a yolk sac was then visible and dated 5.5 weeks (when should be 7.5 weeks). As there is still no fetal pole they're still not sure if its a feasible pregnancy and I have to go back in 1 week again.

I have been googling SO MUCH and basically what they look at is the 'mean sac diameter'. If this is over 25 then they class it as a missed miscarraige as by that point it is too big for anything to develop within it. I think yours is 23 from the measurements you've put on. There were so many stories I read online where some of them turn out ok and some of them turn out not OK. Usually a yolk sac develops at 5 - 5.5 weeks.

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this. The wait is excruciating. I couldn't work last week, I felt SO anxious and miserable. Its very jarring to receive bad news when you're over the moon with happiness.

@UrsulaSings123 Thank you for replying and I'm sorry you're also going through this also. Yes the wait is horrible I kept going from it's going to be ok ( also being Googling so much ) to trying to except it over again. I'm also off work at the moment as I just won't be able to concentrate.

Thank you also for explaining the measuring of the sac it's all so confusing and heartbreaking. My previously pregnancy didn't go well either so I'm a bit of a mess at the moment too. I'm wishing you all the best and hoping you receive some good news next week.
